Why did we begin the Foresight Summit when there are tons of conferences and events dotting the landscape for schools in this country? With National Curriculum Framework 2023, the rapid rise of Generative AI and increasing divergence between Millennial teachers (born 1980-1995) & Gen Alpha students (born post 2010), the education landscape is rapidly evolving. Some truths remain: ✅ Most students need a caring teacher; there are very few self-directed students who can learn on their own  ✅ AI can't replace teachers.  ✅ Gradual release of responsibility from teacher-led to student-led works. Neither a 40 minute lecture, nor discovery based learning works. ✅ Multi-modal works better than single mode in getting across concepts. But learning styles is a myth. However, ⭐How to prepare for competence based exams when rote learning will not help students anymore? ⭐How to leverage technology to empower our teachers? ⭐How to equip our students to use technology responsibly to create vs. mindlessly consume technology? ⭐How to reimagine a school's timetable and annual calendar around student learning vs. syllabus completion? ⭐How can teachers and technology come together to finally achieve the holy grail of school education: personalisation - teach at the level of one student, not to an average of 40!? These are important questions that all school leaders need to deal with. And with the Foresight Summit, we aim to play a role in initiating these deliberations and catalysing this change. Edtech startup Adda247 saw 88% year-on-year growth in revenue to INR 243.39 Cr in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24) from INR 129.65 Cr in the previous fiscal year 👇 Adda247 attributed this growth to the already existing verticals across government job exams, UPSC and the newly introduced K13 verticals (CUET, NEET & JEE) that contributed around 15% to the total revenue. The company has also narrowed its net loss by 66% to INR 101 Cr, down from INR 296 Cr in FY23. The company has claimed to see its active user base reaching 40 Mn, driven by targeted vernacular strategies in key regions and languages, including the Hindi belt and Southern and Eastern states, as well as Marathi, Punjabi, and Gujarati. The edtech industry is facing a challenging time, marked by waning investor interest and reduced demand for online learning in the aftermath of the pandemic. Amid this, Alakh Pandey-led edtech unicorn PhysicsWallah (PW) has bagged $210 million in a Series B funding round led by investment firm Hornbill Capital, with a sizable participation from venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners.   Scaling operations:  With the latest funding round, PW’s post-money valuation has soared to $2.8 billion, making it the third-most valued edtech firm, trailing only Unacademy ($3.4 billion) and Eruditus ($3.2 billion), based on their last valuations. PW will use the funds for market consolidation, with the potential for “one large deal” in the next 12 months, according to Co-founder Prateek Maheshwari. PW, which initially focused on test-prep, has rapidly diversified its educational offerings to encompass everything, from school education to skills training. We need #Physics, #Chemistry, #Maths faculty for a #PYQ based channel for #JEE Mains and Advanced. #Reason: As Coachings are decreasing their fees and efforts, students need a place where they can take the help of teachers to solve all PYQs. We will fill that gap. No where does a one stop destination for all PYQs exists. #Ownership: This channel shall be owned by 7 equal partners. (Two physics faculty, Two maths, Two chem and 1 Acadza). We already have some of the good senior teachers ready. All parteners will be promoted equally. #Task: Every Alternate day 10 PYQs will be discussed by one faculty of one chapter. This will be a 60min session. Each faculty will get chance ONCE every TWO weeks. They can work part time WFH. #Free: Students can attend the session of PYQs for free on YT. #Paid: After the session we will provide students with - A small DPP of questions similar to PYQs discussed - 5 Most Important Questions - A small 15 min practice test - Unlimited customised tests - Full study material (lecture videos) - Test series All at a price of ₹3499 inclusive GST per year. #Hardwork: All these things DON'T need work by faculty as they are already prepared by Acadza. Faculty does NOT even need to make PPT for PYQs as that too is made by Acadza. Task of faculty is to JUST select those 10 PYQ questions and take the lecture. #Revenue division: Channel revenue shall be divided equally in 7 parts. Paid product revenue shall go 50% to faculty. There is no other payment involved. #Requirements: Those interested must have a pen tab/digital board system to take the lecture.
