Excited to get an opportunity to give back to the running community, got selected to be an official pacer for 10km for Bengaluru Challenge race 10th edition on the Nice road, organized by NEB sports every year. In a marathon races, a pacer, also known as a pace-setter, is a runner who helps other participants maintain a specific speed to complete the race in a desired time, helping other runners who aspires for the particular target timing to finish the race. Here are some key roles and characteristics of pacers in races: Time Goal: Pacers are often assigned to specific finish time, runners can choose to follow the pacer that matches their target finish time Consistency: Pacers aim to maintain a consistent pace throughout the race, this helps new runners to avoid the common pitfalls of starting too fast or slowing down too much in later stages Experience: Pacers are usually experienced runners who are capable of running comfortably at the pace they set for others Motivation and Support: Besides setting the pace, pacers often provide encouragement and support to runners, helping them stay motivated and focused throughout the race Overall, pacers play a crucial role in helping runners achieve their personal bests by offering a steady and reliable pace, thereby enhancing the overall race experience.

My two cents which I shared a) Industry Academia tech collaboration is must to root out industry problems to achieve higher efficiency, productivity, waste reduction and green earth. b) There are plenty of problems to solve. c) Precision is not about technology alone, without precision of data and business knowledge, to get tangible return. d) Industry looks at returns. CIO / CDOs have to step up. Business leaders must understand the nuances of technologies.

WhatsApp is a prime example, as it became widely accessible across India, overcoming barriers of technical skills and English language preference. On this Deepavali, inspired by my favorite Telugu poet, Bammera Potana, I experimented with generating Telugu poem through GEN AI. In one of his timeless verses, Potana uses rich Telugu idioms and unique units of measurement to vividly illustrate Trivikrama’s divine form growing, step by step, to fill every corner of the universe. His words evoke not just an expansion in size but a transcendence beyond all boundaries, immersing us in the grandeur of divine power and purpose.
