Your client's cybersecurity falls short of industry standards. How can you ensure their protection?
I believe, security practices within any company is built on the basis of the business and tolerance levels which the company would have. Standards/guidelines/best practices are there to help organizations to practice the same in a better way but cannot define the most acceptable way to make things work. Implementation of an effective security posture fails on various levels a. Technology deficiency b. Technology over stacking c. Technology isolation d. Technology relevance e. Technology dependency Unfortunately, we are moving so much on technology adoption that we have forgot the emphasis of defense-in-depth. Its our responsibility to go back to this concept and then build our defense mechanism which will anyways will comply in all ways

You're facing unauthorized network access. How do you keep your team morale high during the investigation?
Every activity has a trail attached to it and so an incident. There has to be simple ways of investigation rather pushing the team into a blind spot and expect them to do wonders, without telling them what to do. incidents always carry high stakes, but that need not to be travelling down. Be co-operative and helpful to your team. Act as a mentor and not at a manager. Train your team on intelligent and smart ways to handle Keep a cheerful environment Incidents are ideal times to test the trust your team has on you. Even at times an incident happen from your team member's fault, its important to make him realize in an effective manner not just shouting or abusing them.

What are the most important features to look for in a data loss prevention system?
My question would be , why do we need DLP, why not DRM? People making the choice because it is mentioned in the guidelines and the standards and that’s where I have a problem. Why would any standard or guideline talk about a product when it is supposed to speak about the process

#DidYouKnow India experienced over 79 million #phishing attacks, ranking as the third highest volume of phishing attempts recorded in the Zscaler cloud in 2023 (following the U.S. at 1.1 billion and the U.K. at 112.9 million).
