Let us see why. 📱We have been using 5G, which brought us 1 gigabit-per-second - "1gbps" the fastest data speeds and has reduced latency to around 1 millisecond. 🚀So, how fast 6G will be? ✅Terahertz - 6G will operate in the terahertz frequency bands 0.1-10 THz, which will facilitate data transmission rates of up to 1 terabit per second-"1Tbps". Now 5G users must be feeling that 5G is very slow. ✅Ultra-Low Latency - 6G will reduce latency as low as 0.1 milliseconds. The Accidental Company - How INT. Started (Part 2) Link to Part 1 - https://lnkd.in/df26_US3 <Recap> I landed up at the expo, and I don’t know what chemical reaction happened in my mind, I thought, why see the show, why not exhibit - after all I also do technology related services (I was already doing Internet installation, basic training; and now I knew how to make website!). So, I hesitantly walked in and ask the gatekeeper - that I want to exhibit. He was confused, and thought I have gone mad, and asked me to go away. I requested, if I can just go and see how the expo looks like, and since the event has not started, there is no registration fees loss to them. He allowed. </Recap> The first stand was of a company called Capital Electronics, run by Mr. Agarwal, who was setting up the stand to sell modems. I walked up, and half-confidently asked - if I can share his stand. I still do not know where I got that strength from, as I had no money in hand. I am sure he was also surprised and hesitant. But, I insisted and he accepted. The next challenge was to have “something to communicate” so that I can sell at the stand. I decided that I will sell my web design skills, something I was very excited about. I rushed out to design and print a leaflet - went to the nearest xerox outlet, quickly put together a web design plan, and put an offer of Rs. 6000/- (the exact price of my share of the stand). Then, suddenly I realised that I have not put any company name on the leaflet. As I looked out, I saw a restaurant with the name “Indus Valley”. And I picked the name - Indus Net Technologies. And the hustle began! As luck would have it, I got my first order on the first day itself - for the exact amount that covers the cost of the stand. It was from a leather gloves manufacturing company. Indus Net Technologies (INT.) is open for business! My reflections: - Most companies start out of need, necessity or situation - and not necessarily out of a big vision. Big vision takes shape over time, as the Founder evolves. - When you do not know something, you don’t fear it. Ignorance is bliss. - It’s important to define an offering, and sell it. Incorporation, naming, and everything else can happen later. - Many accidents get us where we are. Go with the flow. #Deepdive into Mukesh Ambani’s data centre play! 🙌🙌 After much delays, Reliance has finally got the ball rolling for a big data centre business. And Microsoft has a special reason to be happy about this. Here’s all you should know! .. Back in 2019, Jio got into a 10yr partnership with Microsoft. -> What kind of partnership? Well, multiple things -> But, the most important bit was about Jio foraying into building 100s of data centres pan-India -> The plan was that Jio would use Microsoft’s Azure cloud applications to ensure top-of-the-chart offerings And while things started well with two of the data centres opening up in 2020 itself, nothing much happened after that except for data centres which cater to Reliance’s own needs. .. And then earlier, in July 2023, Reliance got its mojo back! -> It got into a three-party joint venture called Digital Connexion to build and operate data centres pan-India -> Who are the companies that are part of the JV? Canadian private equity giant Brookfield and US-based data centre-focussed REIT called Digital Realty which operates several large data centres worldwide -> And acting at speed, this combine acquired land parcels in Chennai and Mumbai for its first set of data centres, of which one was opened a few weeks back .. So, what role does each partner play? -> Well, Brookfield is already one of India’s largest owners of telecom towers and brings in a considerable amount of captive need for data centre business -> Digital Realty is a proven expert in building, operating and maintaining data centres, and shall take care of the same in India JV -> Reliance brings in two things meanwhile .. What two things? 1️⃣ Of course, a lot of captive demand, because Jio is witnessing a crazy boom in data consumption per user, which is only accelerating manifold with 5G adoption. And JioCinema and other digital businesses of the group are also rapidly scaling 2️⃣ Plus, Jio is already servicing 80% of India’s large enterprises with its telecommunication offerings, which gives it an advantage in selling data centre services too .. But wait a second! -> There is another winner in this whole story- Microsoft! -> With Reliance back in the data centre business with full might and two strong partners, it is set to roll out massive new data centres in the coming years -> And with them running on Microsoft’s Azure cloud applications, it will be bringing a lot of business for Azure, driving market share gains versus Amazon’s AWS and Google Cloud .. Living in an urban household in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, or Bengaluru can sometimes skew our perspective on who truly influences public opinion in India. The intense debates on English News channels featuring prominent figures like Arnab Goswami and Rajdeep Sardesai might give the impression that they are the primary opinion makers in the country. However, a key insight from an Indian MP from West Bengal, who also operates a newspaper in Hindi and local languages, highlighted the significant role played by regional media outlets in shaping opinions across India. Amazing work done by Jio 15 cents per GB data Vs 3.5$/ GB international average price. it is actually less than 12 cents per GB It is a marvellous job done by Jio whole team in the leadership of Sh. Mukesh Ambani Core team I still remember those days back in 2010-11, where we use to get recharges of INR 300/- to get 1GB Data and normally used to keep data switched off to avoid any misuse. And now.............. Do we even bother to keep data switched off...since the data availability in abundance.
