I'm always excited to see startups do well. It's tough starting a business, so every win – big or small – is worth celebrating. This is why I was so happy to hear that two APAC startups, one from Korea and one from India, have become partners, combining their AI expertise to build something even better! Coxwave, which attended the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First program in Korea, has created a product analytics and evaluation solution tool named Align AI. It helps businesses understand how well their LLM chatbots are working. Fundamento, based in India and a recipient of Google’s 2023 Women Founders Fund, is a company that makes AI-powered voice bots for enterprise contact centers. They met through the Google for Startups alumni network, and together, they're building a new product that helps businesses use chatbots to answer customer service calls, see how well their chatbots are doing, and make them even better over time! This new product will potentially help many enterprises save money, get more sales, and handle customer calls much more efficiently. It's wonderful to see how innovation can bring people together from different parts of the world. I'm proud that our programs can help make partnerships like this happen. Speaking of programs, we recently held ChangGoo Alumni Day in Korea. ChangGoo is a Google Play program that mentors Korean developers and helps bring their innovative apps to a global audience. Fully agree with Dheeraj. We have seen most of the Indian SaaS companies to be point solutions without any "interoperability" in the "suite", and absence of a backing platform which is designed such that the suite could be programmed and extended by ecosystem participants to cater to the requirements of enterprise companies. Most of these concepts are fairly new. Absense of a well designed platform backing the product limits the GTM and TAM, and companies get capped out in size. ps: my thoughts, not my employer's.

Value Transitions . Every time you read about grooming teams or individuals you would hear that they need to have role clarity . A clear definition of what their new role is ,what is expected of them by A/B/C/D/E/F and G. Its a separate fact that at many places even this doesn't happen .But people eventually figure out ,to the best of their ability . What they invariably fail to also realized that with each role the values they believe in also need to change. Say you are an expert developer ,who takes pride in producing "prefect" code .Now that you have grown up or the team has , you get promoted to a Lead . How do you now extract "perfect" code from multiple people ? Sure there are reviews and test cases ,but how do you get code as perfect as you would have done ? This is really the moment where your values are challenged. Left unchecked it can easily morph into micromanagement , playing favorites (to the geek developer just like you in the team) or even pent up resentment (about them). What has to really happen is that this tech lead has to know that his value has to change from being perfect to being watchful , from being particular to being mindful ,from being meticulous to being organized . Because as the role transitions from individual to lead they levers you used to pull have changed so has the values that make you select these levers . --- Just to be comprehensive you values would get challenged with every change i.e. role/team/project/economy/Time . Just to be void confusion : habits are different hurdles to cross than values .Its easy to vocalized about habit but things that are part of your individual success process(ISP) are difficult to identify for the individual ,leave alone transitioning them .Values are the foundation of your ISP . #career #dixitbaba #role #team #self Also on my blog :

Cal Newport seem to have come to the rescue of Knowledge workers .In in new book called Slow productivity .He defines Pseudo-Productivity as main problem of modern workplace .Pseudo-Productivity is the activity buzz that management ends up confusing with real productivity . This is alternate way of stating Goodhart's Law which says that when a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure .This is because people work on delivering the measure as opposed to the actual thing the measure wanted everyone to achieve . Coming back to the book , Newport suggest that we need a new paradigm at workplaces where we do few things ,allow people to work at natural pace and obsess over quality .That is slow productivity . One must remember in his previous book called deep work ,he suggested we value focus over multi tasking .So the idea of slow is not to allow lazy ,time pass er but a distraction free work in the flow state . Hope to get it signed by you soon 😀 Was pleasantly surprised when I started reading it as it was so much more gripping than what I had expected. The book is an insightful journey into the evolving dynamics of the workplace. In today’s rapidly shifting landscape, from the rise of AI to the importance of continuous upskilling, Richard  emphasizes the need for agile leadership, ethical decision-making, and innovation to keep pace. I figured India has its own JAM. Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar, Mobile are not just tools but #lifelines, quietly powering everything from health to education in India. There’s something powerful happening in India—this sense of leveling the playing field, providing access to millions who were once left out. It all started with Aadhaar in 2009, but it’s so much more now. The JAM trinity (Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar, Mobile) acted as a turning point for millions who were once outside the formal #financialsystem. Being an NRI, what fascinates me is how these #digitalservices are woven into the very fabric of daily life. They’re more than just apps—they’re tools for empowerment. In just six years, India achieved 80% financial inclusion, something the U.S. still struggles with despite all its advancements. India has come quite far in such a short time, driven by the incredible success of its Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). We’ve definitely made strides in the US, for sure, but it feels like the systems here in India tackle problems at a scale and efficiency that we’re still working towards. #Digitalidentity is still more of an idea in the U.S. than a reality, and efforts like Co-WIN would face far more hurdles in implementation. The U.S. has its own strengths in innovation and technology. But it’s just that the approach here in #bharat feels much more people-centric, designed to address the immediate needs of a massive population. There's something powerful happening in India - a movement toward equity, access, and #empowerment. #dotSolved

On a lazy day, stumbled upon this masterpiece from the great Amitabh Bachchan on how to deal with life challenges and felt like sharing it here. According to him, if things don't happen according to your wish, it's even better. This is because they are happening according to the wish of some Divine force, and that Divine force will never think ill about you. So you have to respect that as being better. Life is a struggle, and as long as there is life, there is going to be struggle. If we accept this, we will be better prepared to deal with the challenges that come our way. We should not sit in despondency, but rather be aware that tomorrow is another day, which could be profitable or not, but eventually there will be another day when we can start trying all over again. The fear of those ugly moments recurring is perhaps what drives us every day.
