Personalised outbounds at scale can be a game-changer for many companies. Having worked with several companies in the past few months on their outbounds, I've noticed some common mistakes, especially in the early stages: 1. Lack of consistency: It often occurs when there isn't enough budget to build a big enough sales team, or when founders are personally handling sales. 2. 'GenAI is easier to say in the boardroom and difficult to get right for many SaaS companies'. When speaking to multiple technology providers, we have observed this as well. I will go further to suggest that many existing players will find it difficult to move to agentic workflows meaningfully. Beyond document summarization, and basic AI uses. The real problem is not technology. It is the company's DNA and processes, and a large installed base of customers. Good post. Apart from what has been mentioned in the post, A/B tests don't work because companies don't invest in building quality experimentation infrastructure.

Startups fail b/c of busyness. All the other reasons are total bogus.   Everyone talks about the other "causes" -   - Not finding product-market fit - Bad unit economics - Running out of money   But these aren't causes, they're symptoms.   Symptoms of being too busy to be brutally honest. Or too busy to notice the lack of progress.   Thankfully, there's a cure to obliterate busy -   **Do work that bleeds quality.**   If you obsess over quality, it's impossible to be busy. [1]   If you think your work is high quality and you're busy, your bar isn't high enough.   Start bleeding quality, and you'll ooze productivity.   Ironically, slowing down will put you on the fast-track to winning. --   [1] Post inspired by Cal Newport's book, Slow Productivity. In it, he notes the inverse correlation btw busy & quality. Incredible book. Highly recommend.
