Banks don't like changes. Even if the instructions come from RBI. The regulator's direction to move away from OTP as the 2FA requires banks to spend a lot of money and time to do it. And it is not happening anytime soon. Banks have been using OTPs for a decade and a half. While there are other alternatives, changes bring legal and compliance complications. When RBI introduced 2FA, banks were given the option to choose their preferred method. OTPs were the easiest and cheapest solution then. My thoughts on how all from Upper Middle Class to HNIs to Ultra HNIs do further to improve the Economy of India Consumption that aligns to building nation 1. This one is the most common -> to BUY Made in India products, the ones that are made with full value chain. All high ticket items that is Cars, home furnishings, watches, perfumes, electronics just everything. 2. For Holidays -> A ratio of may be 1:10 or more. So if you are making one trip abroad do 10 trips within India. We have now fabulous Hotels, Resorts, pilgrimage places and even night life. 3. Sports & events important part -> There are premier leagues of other sports too like Badminton, Hockey, Kabbadi etc go and watch that, promote other sports apart from Cricket. Encourage a very good sporting culture 4. Energy & Fuel -> Be mindful while using fossil fuel based cars we have a crude oil import bill of around USD 80 billion estimated per year. Plan & do car pool, public transport Change Habits Inculcate habits that are environment friendly. Many of us display habits of excess, can make some good changes & instill same in children Generate as much less waste as possible, be it taking excess food in your dish and then not eating it, to generating plastic or paper trash. Take a bottle from home to drink water rather than buying a plastic water bottle. Same for shopping, can take multiple bags from home rather than taking a plastic bag from the shop. Use of multiple tissue paper, when only one or two an do the job. One can start with such a life that is environment friendly. Social Change Take up a small social work to improve the life of people. Maybe go to a village nearby and see what we as individuals can contribute. It could be education to planting trees or giving cycles for their children. Do have a goal to do at least one thing in this financial year. If that is not possible, then at least visit your maid's house and check that one thing that you do will bring a positive change in their life. I am sure if we follow this lifestyle, we as individual, and we as country will be much better off and have a sustainable living. Vipul Gaglani

Let’s hope this time they get it right and use this as a stepping stone for a fresh beginning in #Mumbai A 24-acre real estate project in #AndheriWest would likely be the largest in the area, considering that most prominent residential developments in this locality are significantly smaller, typically spanning 1–7 acres. Given the dense urban environment and high land values in Andheri West, such a large-scale development could redefine the real estate landscape in the area. It would be unprecedented in terms of scope and the variety of residential, commercial, and possibly mixed-use spaces it might include.

# Is Millennium City Gurgaon Really Safe? A Disturbing Incident in Sector 23 On the evening of September 20, 2024, a simple post-dinner walk turned into a nightmare for my colleague and his wife in Millennium City, Gurgaon. After enjoying a meal together, they decided to take a stroll through Sector 23, seeking relaxation and fresh air. However, their evening took a terrifying turn. As they walked, two men on a motorcycle approached them, asking for directions. Moments later, they returned and snatched the gold chain from his wife’s neck and sped away, leaving them in shock. In the chaos, she fell and was injured. They felt a deep sense of helplessness and anger. They also called the police and they gave assurance as usual. While we often take comfort in the city’s development and modern amenities, incidents like this shatter that sense of security. This serves as a wake-up call, forcing us to confront our vulnerability even in familiar places. As a community, we must reflect on this incident. Gurgaon has made significant strides in infrastructure, but we cannot overlook the troubling rise in crime that threatens our peace of mind. It’s essential to advocate for better internal safety measures and more effective law enforcement. This incident raises urgent questions: 1. Is Millennium City Gurgaon truly safe? 2. What measures are in place to protect residents, and how responsive is our police department to such incidents? 3.With rising crime rates, we must ask ourselves: Are our safety protocols sufficient? 4. Are we doing enough to ensure a secure environment for everyone?

A vital part of my thought process as the Executive Vice Chairman of Shriram Finance Limited & as the chairman of is FIDC India, is : As stakeholders in the financial services industry, how do we enhance financial inclusion? I strongly believe that it is one of the important markers of the industry's progress, and I believe that as NBFCs, have worked hard to contribute significantly to the rise of RBI's inclusion Index from 43.4% in FY 17 to 60.1% today.  However, the index also shows that a significant portion of India is still underserved. In a recent article I penned for the The Economic Times, I discussed the strategies that enable NBFCs to drive financial inclusion. These include: - Leveraging the strength of data & technology to assess creditworthiness, - Expanding our reach into rural areas,  - Forming strategic partnerships with banks, payment aggregators. Our industry's concerted efforts will allow us to serve a wider customer base, providing access to credit and various other financial services.
