🚀 From Drip Capital to Rapido – Indian Startups Raised $421.29 Mn This Week🚀 This week 26 Indian startups raised $421.29 Mn, which includes 4 growth stage and 16 early-stage deals while 6 early-stage startups kept the transaction details undisclosed. Regarding the city-wise number of funding deals, Bengaluru-based startups led with 10 deals followed by Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune, and Raisen. During the week, Seed funding deals are on top with 11 deals followed by 5 Series A, 2 pre-Series A, 2 pre-Seed, and 1 Series E deal and more. On a weekly basis, startup funding slipped 14% to $421.29 million as compared to around $490.32 million raised during the previous week. Two startup-focused funds launched this week namely AgriSure and VentureSoul Partners. This co-founder of BharatPe just raised $3.5 Million for his new startup 💸 Surat-based authentication and access management platform OTPless has raised $3.5 million in its pre-Series A funding round, led by SIDBI. This round saw participation from Venture Highway, FJ Labs, and Piper Serica, bringing OTPless's total funding to $6.5 million. Co-founded by Bhavik Koladiya, Satyam Nathani, and Tanmay Sagar, OTPless previously raised $2.7 million in a seed round in February last year from notable investors like Neeraj Arora, Kunal Shah, and others. OTPless, with a team of 50 members, plans to use the new funds to expand its global footprint and enhance its services from authentication to authorization. The startup allows users to sign up and log in to websites and apps via WhatsApp and other methods, eliminating the need for OTPs. It supports various social sign-in methods including Google, iMessage, Microsoft, Github, Slack, UPI, and modern protocols like Passkeys, Network Auth, Protected SMS, and Device fingerprinting. OTPless offers easy integration of its SDKs and APIs, enabling developers to go live within minutes using pre-built UIs. More than 5,000 companies and 20,000 developers globally utilize OTPless to authenticate over 30 million users. OTPless's global peers include Auth0, Clerk, Stytch, Descope, and Transmit Security. Scaled Businesses who’s Customer LTV - Variable Delivery Cost > 2 X CAC Please leave out OTTs & Real Money Gaming startups. Context: A friend is starting something in the space and I am actively discouraging him to do so. But maybe I am missing something. So do comment if you have a view.
