Sometime Learning is Hard , even with the world of gen AI !! For some work I was trying to run one Python Function on Azure Linux ASP [PaaS]. Unfortunately it was throwing error while executing on Cloud. Doing some research it turns out to be for a particular internal lib of Python that dose not support any direct pip install command on Linux. I was not facing the same issue on my local laptop as I was using Windows , that supports the pip for that lib. I was just searching for the Answer on Google , Chat GPT , but no where I can find any real solution of the problem. After 4 hours "SSH" was the Problem Resolver 😊 The lib was libmagic1.

This is the 2nd part of our journey "Mastering Azure AI" RAG & LLM Summarization using Azure AI Search , Azure Open AI ,Azure Function with Python LangChain. In this 2nd episode I have created one Azure Function "Indexer". The purpose of the indexer is that it will read the pdf files from the azure storage , do the embedding using Azure OPEN AI service model , create the pdf vector index in the Azure AI search service Vector DB & push the embedded data to the Vector DB. Hi Folks, Here is today's Byte 💡: Azure Synapse Analytics Compute Optimized Data Flows Retirement 🖥 : 🔹The Compute Optimized data flows feature in Azure Synapse Analytics will be retired on August 31, 2024. 🔹Users of this feature need to migrate their workloads to alternative solutions within Synapse or other Azure services to avoid disruptions. 🔹Azure recommends transitioning to Data Flows within Azure Data Factory or using Synapse's Serverless and Dedicated SQL Pools for data transformation tasks. 🔹 Microsoft will provide documentation and tools to assist in the migration process to ensure a smooth transition. Area of Implementation 👨‍💻 : ➡ A financial services company uses Compute Optimized data flows in Azure Synapse Analytics to process large volumes of transaction data daily for fraud detection and reporting. ➡ With the retirement of Compute Optimized data flows, the company transitions to using Synapse's Serverless SQL Pools for on-demand querying and transformation of transaction data. ➡ Additionally, they implement Data Flows in Azure Data Factory for more complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring scalability and cost efficiency. Manage software updates to Azure, on-premises, and multicloud machines ... One stop solution Azure Update manager . 5 Key points : 1. Azure Update Manager provides a SaaS solution to manage and govern software updates to Windows and Linux machines across Azure, on-premises, and multicloud environments. 2. All Azure Update Manager data is stored in Azure Resource Graph (ARG). 3. Azure Update Manager has native capability on a virtual machine and doesn't rely either on MMA or AMA. 4. By default, Azure Update Manager relies on Windows Update (WU) client running on machine to fetch updates. Can configure WU client to fetch updates from Microsoft Update/WSUS( Except Azure China) repository and manage patch schedules using Azure Update Manager. Similarly for Linux, you can fetch updates by pointing your machine to a public repository or clone a private repository that regularly pulls updates from the upstream. Azure Update Manager honors machine settings and installs updates accordingly. 5. Azure Update Manager doesn't store any customer identifiable data outside of the Azure Resource Graph for the subscription.
