In India all the listed companies irrespective of their networth and unlisted companies (having NW of 250 crores or more) apply Ind AS for their accounting and reporting. The same rule applies to NBFCs also. While the Banking Industry marks a sizable contribution to Indian GDP, still they are following old AS for their accounting and reporting due to the stringent loss provisioning model in Ind AS. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das, on July 11, said the framework on the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) is expected to be out in the current financial year. This will help in curtailing the headwinds in the Ind AS implementation of Banks and hopefully Banks will see the Ind AS ledgers from FY 2025-26.

Since Oct'17 there is no turning back to this stock as it has found multiple value unlocks which have exploded its business & stock price too. Even in the pandemic period during 2020 COVID, the stock failed to go below ₹780 range which resonates its strong brand & business reputation. A few months ago, during July'24 before its quarterly earnings release the stock hit a new all time high above ₹3200. However, since it's highs the stock has corrected up to ₹500 or over a 15% fall 🥵 But, is the fall a temporary one or will there be a pump & dump lies the true question! Also, one interesting thing to note down is that last Friday (Sept'27) the stock tried to go above the ₹3060 price range, however in a matter of 4 trading sessions of this week it has had a huge price slump of over 8% as well as it is taking a strong support from its June 5th lows of ₹2770 🔥 In the long term value investment perspective, entering right now at the CMP would not be an ideal entry considering its technicals in my POV. Also, since the stock is having a Bonus 1:1 ratio we can maybe* expect some more dip and fresh entry can be made over or below the ₹2650 price range with some cautious approach. In addition to that, the best price to buy this stock would be around or below ₹2400, but a fall to that price in a short term is least likely to happen for Reliance Industries! The always-listening device is meant to be like a close companion with whom you would share experiences and develop a strong relationship over time. It will send you an in-app response to it like a text, and since Friend is listening to you all the time, it also can proactively send a message. For instance, it might wish you good luck before an interview. The $99 device is up for pre-orders, which will begin shipping in January 2025. For Schiffman, “People just don’t get consumer; I view this as saving money. Much less money needs to be spent on marketing; it’s a one-time thing.” Schiffmann was so serious about Friend.com being a destination for future customers that he borrowed $1.8 million to secure the domain name. Should I Necessarily Rebalance my portfolio? Since new financial year has already started and ITR filing season is there, everyone is looking to their portfolio performance. In middle of this, one question I usually asked by my client is “Should I rebalance?” But what actually rebalancing is? Rebalancing is the process of adjusting the weights of the assets in your portfolio to maintain your desired level of risk and return. This might mean selling some assets that have performed well and buying more of those that haven't done as well to restore your original asset allocation. You should Review necessarily but not rebalance. Here is why- 💯 Goal Alignment If your portfolio is still in line with your financial goals, you might not need to rebalance. For instance, if your goal is long-term growth and your current asset mix supports that, why tweak it? 💯 Market Conditions Sometimes, market fluctuations can cause your portfolio to drift from its original allocation. If this drift is minor and doesn't significantly alter your risk profile, you might choose to leave it as is. Your red portfolio might simply be a result of temporary market volatility. 💯 Strategic Adjustments Instead of rebalancing, you might find that making strategic adjustments, such as adding new investments or contributing more to underweight assets, is a more efficient way to stay on track. ‌ Reviewing your portfolio on regular basis is a good habit as it helps you in aligning your changing financial goals! ‌ But rebalancing is not you should do necessarily! NIFTY 50 PE at 22742 21.7 agst. 1 month average 21.63 3 month average 22.43 6 month average 22.56 1 year average 22.34 3 year average 21.66 5 year average 25.62 It will be prudent to not compare 5 year average as this period include Covid period, when earnings were exceptionally low leading to higher PE. If we compare other figures, NIFTY 50 is still fairly priced. But there is one caution that IT and Financials like Bank have large weight in Nifty 50 and they are down leading to corrected NIFTY. If we exclude IT, Financials and FMCG, then market is certainly high. So, it makes more sense in investing in Basket instead of individual stocks. This is just for information for further analysis before investment and not a recommendation.
