It has approached the likes of Allen, PhysicsWallah, K12 Techno and others. It was also in talks with K12 Techno about the merger but looks like those talks are not advancing. Company has raised $877 million till date and company is searching for a respectable way out. Unacademy's situation highlights the potential turbulence within the EdTech sector. While the industry has seen immense growth, companies are now facing increased competition and the need for profitability. What are your views?

**A Heartfelt Goodbye to Koo** It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news—Koo, India’s homegrown microblogging platform, is shutting down. Despite its incredible journey and the vibrant community of 10 million active users, Koo couldn’t secure the partnerships and funding needed to keep going. Koo was more than just a social media platform; it was a vision to democratize expression in multiple Indian languages. It attracted over 9000 celebrities, expanded to Brazil, and secured over $60 million in funding. However, the immense costs of running a social media platform, coupled with a prolonged funding winter, made it challenging to sustain growth. Looking back, it’s clear that Koo faced insurmountable challenges from the start. The cost of maintaining such a platform was always going to be high, and without significant and sustained investment, competing with well-funded global giants was a monumental task.  Just months away from surpassing Twitter in India in 2022, Koo needed more capital to maintain its momentum. Despite exploring partnerships with many companies, none materialized. Now, the team is considering turning Koo’s assets into a digital public good, sharing them with those who have a great vision for India’s social media landscape. As an enthusiast who has followed Koo's journey, I am incredibly proud of what the team achieved. I am deeply grateful to the team, investors, creators, users, and journalists who supported Koo along the way. 10 mins delivery app | 10-year-old boy | 10 mins of amazement Background: I live in Kota, a tier 3 city. Here, Shark Tank is the biggest source of startup world exposure Recently, Blinkit started operations in Kota. I was showing Blinkit to Aarav - a 10-year-old boy in my society. Before I could explain, he said 3 sentences that blew my mind! Aarav - "aapko pata hai -" Sentence 1: "ye saare startups loss banate hai investor ke paise se" Sentence 2: "ye jyada log hire karte hai, taaki ye jyada salary dein and profit mein se tax bacha lein" Sentence 3: "lekin inka reality mein profit hota hai" However wrong his understanding was,  I was amazed, happy and hopeful for the future of India. Because, when I was 10 years old, my concerns were like - 'pencil gum gayi ab mummy maregi' - 'aaj bat par MRF ki painting karunga' Today's 10-year-old kids are much more aware of the world. Mobile notification strategy: I typically disable notifications for most apps that does not concern me, yet there's one exception: Zomato sends amusing notifications despite my infrequent use of its service. What's the benefit to #Zomato? Firstly, I'm more inclined to use this specific app when I require the service (instead of their competitors). Secondly, their branding remains memorable to me, increasing the likelihood that I'll recommend it to friends in need of the service provided. #notifications #strategy

A prominent Indian builder bought land in Ayodhya before the Ram Mandir announcement, hired Bollywood stars, and ran full-page ads, raising property prices by 900%. Now, buyers can't sell. This tarnishes India's real estate reputation, as people are often tricked into bad investments. However, real estate can be a good investment if you understand these points: 1. **Builder Control**: Builders sell high and buy low. Avoid buying overinflated properties for good returns. 2. **Clueless Buyers**: Ensure rental yield is above 4%. On a 1Cr property, rent should be at least 4 Lakhs annually. Overpaying leads to poor returns. 3. **Inflated Prices**: Selling an overinflated property is difficult. Buyers will investigate rental yields. Builders create FOMO to sell. You need experience and good judgment. Buy real estate only when it mathematically makes sense.
