A couple of months ago, TeamLease Digital had us on a #ThinkTank boilerplate, and phew... did things get spicy! Neeti Sharma turned up the heat, grilling us with the hard questions. Evolution of the #CHRO role in India is an insightful article. Of the trends highlighted in the article, two stand out and make me curious. Firstly, the rise of female CHROs is encouraging, but what is the underlying factor? Is it merit-based hiring or positions set out for women only? Additionally, we should deep dive into the impact of this trend on business performance. The quote, "CEOs and boards expect CHROs to be their proactive and strategic advisors, bringing a 'business ownership' mindset as opposed to focusing only on the HR agenda," should be a wake-up call for all #HumanCapital professionals. Another valuable insight is the underrepresentation of CHROs on #boards. The strategic value of Human Capital professionals goes beyond hiring and retention and is an untapped potential. Drumrolls! 🥁 I had the privilege of being a panelist for the discussion on "Designing Impactful Learning Pathways for Business Results" and it was moderated by Dr. Chandrasekhar Sripada and greatly organized by ISB Executive Education and Dun & Bradstreet. People L&D Practice: Impactful Workshops 1. Tax Planning near to Bonus disbursement and in the start of the Financial year. 2. New Parenthood: More appreciated by Men. 3. Balancing Priorities: More appreciated by Women, especially ones who travelled long distances. 4. Counsellor Support: Always got more support from People beginning their careers, and by People having issues on the personal front 5. Mechanics of Performance Feedback: Appreciated by Managers of the participants as well as teams of the Managers. 6. How to write your own Performance Reviews: Always a popular one. 7. Process Training workshops conducted by senior employees who are at the same or just 1-2 levels above the participants are almost well received. Darkness can be daunting, just as unawareness can be. It’s essential to recognize that we often don’t know what we don’t know. Acknowledging this is the first step toward understanding and acceptance. Thrilled to have been part of this impactful Leadership Development workshop. This experience taught me more than I anticipated: Deep sensitization and appreciation for people with disability, and the importance of: 1. Pausing: Taking a moment to reflect can lead to better decisions. 2. Navigating Uncertainty: Embracing the unknown helps grow and innovate. 3. Listening: Active listening fosters understanding and strengthens connections. It was amazing to collaborate with Dialogue in the Dark India, to foster essential leadership qualities like empathy, adaptability & team building. Sharing highlights from the area of - "Developing Leaders of Tomorrow" 80% of respondents in the SHRM PSE Trend Report 2024 believe that significant efforts are underway to develop tomorrow's leaders.
