14 things you can do when troubleshooting stagnant PPC campaigns. (lead gen edition) Below is my campaign troubleshooting checklist to identify the cause of the problem. 👇 1. Impression Share metrics - are campaigns getting an adequate volume of impressions? 2. Are campaigns getting enough clicks and is CTR in the norm? 3. Are campaigns converting at a decent (as a minimum) conversion rate? 4. Are there budget restraints that could be crippling performance? 5. Are bid strategies performing? Any significant deviations from target CPAs/ROAS. 6. If CPCs are capped is there enough wiggle room? 7. Search terms – is there a dilution of the search terms that bring traffic or is keyword targeting too restrictive? 8. Quality scores - what is the general situation, are there any anomalies? 9. Declining demand – is there a drop in search volume due to seasonal trends or other reasons? 10. Bogus or unexpected demand surge - newsworthy events might cause search volumes (and leads) to skyrocket without real buyer intent. 11. Are call tracking and form tracking fully functional and properly linked to Google Ads/CRM? 12. Is spam coming through the forms or phone calls and reported as leads? 13. Is GA4 data and performance as expected, any deviations? 14. Any significant website downtime that might have gone unnoticed? Also, check how things are on the client side of the campaign: 👈 A. Before doing any of the checks above ask what exactly seems to be off and try to understand the nature of the issue. B. Any recent website changes? If they say no, still open the website and investigate. Open on your phone and check landing pages again on mobile. C. Any changes in the sales team, like a new sales rep learning the ropes… cough… mishandling leads… cough? D. Any changes in the sales process e.g. have they started responding to new enquiries in days instead of hours/minutes, because, you know, someone is on a holiday? Low Budget Strategy for Google Ads! I onboard client last month who required Google ads services but the budget was very low for Advertising, I onboarded this client on a very minimum service fee, and with very low ad spend for my experience like a small budget works with Google ads or not, Because I didn't done a low budget project in the past. The client is providing Online medical appointments for GAMCA. I have done deep research for identifying keywords and also for crafting compelling ad copies for ads. and after launching the 2 campaigns in 20 days I spent around 13K and generated 57K in revenue(Some conversions paid more than that I have added in the conversion value) in actuality. Here's my one piece of advice for people starting in SEO Take any source who speaks in absolutes about SEO with a huge pinch of salt. Here are a few posts I came across recently 1. Backlinks are BS; focus on Content. ( The person who runs a content marketing agency.) 2. Content is not king, authority is. ( The person runs a PR agency ) 3. You'd destroy your organic presence if you skip technical SEO. ( Said a tech SEO freelancer.) The list goes on, but you get what I'm saying. Everyone has an agenda, and everyone is trying to sell something here. Reading and following everyone's advice would lead to an information overload; you'd waste countless hours ( I did.) and might miss out on improving your foundations. SEO is difficult. The algorithm changes constantly. SEO is different for lawyers compared with plumbers, and for the vast majority of service industry companies, local SEO is all they ever need. So, how can you learn? 1. Test the f out of things with your personal sites 2. Audit the Content and tech of good websites to see what worked for them. 3. Stay up to date with the changes. 4.
