Fitch Ratings has upgraded HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited's Rating to 'BB+' from 'BB'. The Outlook is Stable. The upgrade follows Fitch's upward revision of HMEL's Standalone Credit Profile to 'bb-' from 'b+', as we expect the company's EBITDA net leverage to be sustained below 5.0x from the financial year ending March 2025 (FY25) to FY28. We expect HMEL's deleveraging to be supported by lower capex intensity following the completion of its petrochemical project and the cash flow increase from the ramp-up of the petrochemical project's operations. The upgrade also reflects the plant's integration of its refining and petrochemical processes, which should lead to greater cash flow stability.

Just see the Anamoly: 1)An individual sustained Net loss of Rs. 10 lacs in F&O transactions with total turnover of 90 lacs… 2) As per s.44AD, he is either required to declare profit of Rs.5.40 lacs or to get his books of accounts duly audited under s.44AB.The individual is having no other source of income.. 3) In a similar circumstance, an individual having a brokerage income of just say Rs.11000/- will be eligible to claim such loss from F&O transactions , without getting his books audited under s.44AB and without getting attracted by deeming provisions of sec. 44AD…😅

In a bid to further tighten regulatory oversight, both the RBI and SEBI have proposed to classify investments in Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) schemes, where more than 50% of units are allocated to foreign investors, as 'Indirect Foreign Investments'. This classification aims to subject such investments to sectoral caps and pricing guidelines, enhancing transparency and control over foreign participation. Additionally, SEBI is contemplating revisions to the Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) norms to tackle analogous issues effectively.
