SAP Consulting is a vast area and it has undergone a lot of changes in the past few years after the advent of SAP S/4 HANA. The previous ECC version to which clients have been used to now have to mandatorily move towards SAP S/4. From organizations which are already seeing a value, this is a blessing in disguise and the ones who are going to take the leap and in planning phase, would eventually be able to feel and materialize the blessings.   SAP S/4 in no ways something is an upgraded version of past ECC. It is a new product altogether with computing technology. Obviously, there is so much apart from it. The way the technology in SAP has evolved over the years with look and feel to the user friendliness, it is mind boggling. There has been a surge in applications being acquired by SAP which truly makes the SAP S/4 being an end-to-end solution for a business. Business doesn't need to go to any other organization for an application anymore like database or integrated solutions.   Do you know when I learned SAP the first time in 2008, what did I learned the 1st day. On 14th April 2008 when my SAP journey started, I gathered to pronounce SAP as "SAP" and not "sap". For people who are new to this technology, SAP is said in 3 words S A P and not a single word. #freshers Mainly all freshers should look for offline opportunities instead of only remotely. Yes , I understand cost of living is high and stipend is not enough to lead basic life style also but use cheapest option to stay for few months and make use of that effectively to get high paid offers to recover the same 😀 Finally it’s your individual decision to solve your problems, not to depend on patents after education!!! After education please don’t depend on your parents, hustle as much as possible until you get stable primary income source. Go through free resources as much as possible for your interview preparation 🤝 I always say that to all freshers to work in a few companies where SAP is already implemented instead of waiting for consultants role directly. Here are the top 5 best ways for freshers to get into SAP user positions: 1️⃣ Internships: Apply for internships with companies using SAP to gain hands-on experience. This provides valuable practical knowledge and makes your resume more attractive. 2️⃣ Networking: Attend SAP events, join SAP user groups, and connect with professionals in the SAP community. Building relationships with experienced SAP users can lead to job opportunities. 3️⃣ Entry-level SAP Programs: Look for companies offering entry-level SAP programs or graduate trainee positions. These programs are designed to train and develop freshers in SAP skills. 4️⃣ Highlight transferable skills: Emphasize transferable skills like analytical skills, problem-solving, or business acumen. Even without direct SAP experience, showcasing relevant skills can make you a competitive candidate. Remember, a combination of these methods will increase your chances of landing an SAP user position. Good luck!

Guess the company and its product whose ingredients are more secretive than Coca Cola’s formula. The product is indelible ink used for elections and the only company that manufactures and supplies it to the Indian government is a Karnataka state public sector unit ( PSU ) called Mysore Paints & Varnish Ltd (MPVL). Origins: The tiny PSU was founded in 1937 by Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV, Maharaja of the kingdom of Mysore. The first product of the company sealing wax, which is still used by India Post. A voter’s finger is marked with indelible ink in the polling booth to prevent bogus voting—the casting of multiple votes. It was introduced in 1962 after rising instances of voting fraud in the first two general elections (1952 and 1957).  Indelible ink was the single most important instrument to prevent voter fraud. The magic ink: The ink, once exposed to sunlight, will leave an indelible mark that will remain for anywhere between 72 hours and three months. How long it stays depends on the nature of the skin. It cannot be removed without damaging the skin. Silver nitrate, the main raw material and a host of solvents are mixed as per the formula in a dark room as the process is photosensitive. The formula for the indelible ink is the brainchild of three scientists at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL)—B.G. Mathur, V.D. Puri and M.L. Goel—who hold the patent for it along with NPL. Very few are privy to the formula. Quality control: Vishalakshi, a 42-year-old is a simple, unassuming person heading the quality department. She is a post-graduate in organic chemistry. Everyone in her office tries to run away from her as is always on the hunt for clean fingers to test the ink. As part of quality control, attempts are made to remove the applied ink using a variety of fluids such as lemon juice, papaya juice, shampoo, nail polish remover, dye remover or a combination of these. Newspaper reports and social media posts are scoured for details of indelible ink vanishing to ensure there are no attempts of fraud. The CEO of MVPL proudly claims, “We have not faced a single rejection since 1962 and no documented case of a quality issue has come up so far.” Business: 75 % of the revenue comes from indelible ink and rest of the revenue comes from paints, enamels, sealing wax. Government is their main customer. MPVL has always been a profitable and dividend-paying company which is a rarity for an Indian public sector firm. Business is cyclical. Understandably, revenues are highest once in 5 years during the Lok Sabha election year at around 70 Crore and drops to around 30 Crore during the rest of the years. Preparing for the future: What if indelible ink is replaced by biometric verification which is the case in elections of several other countries. MVPL has embarked on steps to de-risk its business.
