#EveryYoungPerson— no matter who they are or where they come from—deserves a future full of opportunities and a fair chance to thrive. In the last 5 years, UNICEF's YuWaah has relentlessly pursued this vision alongside public, private, and youth partners. Our commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future has never been stronger. By facilitating pathways for skill-building, volunteering, and employment, especially for girls and young women, we hope to enable 300 million young people in India by 2030. Together, we create impact for youth and #ImpactWithYouth. We thank our Founding Members — Amazon, Capgemini India, Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) — for supporting the journeys of 90 million (and counting!) young people so far. Grateful to UNICEF India, United Nations in India, and Generation Unlimited for being extraordinary co-creators in our mission to impact India's youth. #InternationalYouthDay Dhuwarakha Sriram Abhishek Gupta Ananya Pandey Manasa Priya Vasudevan Shruti Kapoor Nishita Sharma Pallav Tiwari Vishishta Sam

Enabling India's young people
About us
There are more than 350 million young people in India. 28% of the total population but 100% of the future. YuWaah (Generation Unlimited in India), is a multi-stakeholder, Public Private Youth Partnership (PPYP) platform incubated within UNICEF, with the common goal of enabling India’s young people and connecting them to aspirational socio-economic opportunities and engaging them as active changemakers. Since its launch in November 2019, YuWaah has built alliances with a range of stakeholders such as the Government, Civil Society, UN and other international organizations, the corporate sector and, of course, young people themselves. YuWaah is committed to partnering with, listening to, and amplifying the needs and aspirations of young people across governance, decision making, advocacy and initiatives, to enable #ImpactWithYouth

I really believe in the power of Youth engaging and working with the grassroot rural areas for the growth of nations like India whose more than half of the populations reside in rural areas and even great leaders like Nelson Mandela rightly said "Youth involvement in rural economies might seem like a daunting task, but through perseverance and action, they can make a substantial impact". I as a Climate Champion of Young India under National Youth Climate Consortium (NYCC) representing Nagaland supported by YuWaah India at UNICEF and UNICEF implemented by Bring Back Green Foundation got a privilege and honour of getting to provide an awareness sessions in collaboration with the Lotha Students Union under Wokha District,Nagaland where 81 Village Youth leaders representative were present and able to deliver an awareness sessions on climate change and waste management where during the discussions with some of the leaders in the village were raising concerns on how the climate change is impacting their agriculture, livelihood and health. Being depended on agriculture as the main source of income, they want to work towards protecting their natural resources and livelihood. But there is also a gap of knowledge and skills in the rural areas as they are deprived of information and support. There is a need to work on the information gaps and create awareness and build skills to be able to fight and make smarter choices against climate change. The event was also a great learning experience and exposure for me as well. Grateful to be a part of National Youth Climate Consortium and Lotha Students Union to be able to interact and learn with the Rural Youth leaders.
