A forgotten SIP of ₹10,000 made a common investor a Crorepati! 💸 ‣ This is the story of a client of a mutual fund distributor who had started his first SIP in 2008 of ₹10,000 in a mid cap fund when the NAV was ₹11. ‣ Owing to his disciplined approach, he continued his SIP for 5 years till 2013. Over this 60 months period, he invested ₹6 lakh. And by this time, the NAV of the fund had reached ₹17 (+ ₹6) ‣ The man moved abroad and the MFD lost touch with him. And busy in his daily routine, the client completely forgot about his investment too. ‣ However, when he came back to India in 2022, he approached the MFD to enquire about his first SIP. Everyone was amazed to know that the total value of his corpus had crossed ₹1 crore mark by then!! ‣ The SIP he once nearly abandoned is now valued at ₹1.40 crore.
