If food waste was a country, it would be the third highest emitter of greenhouse gases after the US and China. And, the most exploited one due to food waste are small farmers who doesn’t get the price that they deserve. We thoroughly worked on more than 10 models to increase the income of small farmers by reducing their food surplus waste. Affordable and DIY portable solar dehydrator for small farmers came out to be the most profitable business model to merge the immense gap of food waste and low small farmers income, by converting their food surplus into high value ready to eat products with huge future potential. And as we can see, people are eating out often, looking for more healthy and convenient food, ready to eat snacks and products comes on top and is exponentially growing from 0.5 trillion USD this year. Our social enterprise has successfully implemented the business model by empowering 30000+ farmers in India with 3000+ solar dehydrator and connecting them to more than 200+ companies.
