More Bread — From our AI oven. This time for Developers. Despite a multitude of UI kits and Design systems available, component tweaking and creation of new components is a reality for many UI Dev teams arising from brand and customer needs. What if there was a way to ingest atoms of your Design system (DS) and create new components and variations with AI assistance. This is what our team set out to do with our SPACE DS, allowing us to save countless hours for UI customisations and avoiding bloat of our DS. Early results but really excited about how our team iterates and incorporates this in our Dev workflows which increasingly use #AIAssistance. Last week I attended #DrupalConSingapore. This was my first in-person #DrupalCon and it turned out to be a great one. At start of day 1 itself i got a chance to meet Dries Buytaert, we had a small nice chat around #Drupal and #DrupalCMS followed by the iconic. After that i joined a panel discussion on Making the Drupal Credit System Less Gamifiable with Mahesh Sankhala Lee Rowlands and Neil Drumm where we discussed lots of interesting points around drupal contribution and various inputs were shared from Jess (xjm) and Ajit Shinde in the audience. Post the panel discussion i presented a case study on American Diabetes Association Digital Landscape Overhaul with Drupal 10 & Multisite Architecture for diabtetes.org, professional.diabetes.org and diabetesfoodhub.org. My session was met with a great response, post session i had a long chat around various technical nuances of the project with the audience. The already amazing Day 1 became extra special during DrupalCon Asia splash awards where we were recognised for our work with American Diabetes Association on diabetes.org and we won the #SplashAward under non-profit category. Excited from previous day, Day 2 started with various insightful panel discussions and i joined the panel of innovation and future of Drupal with Piyuesh Kumar Lenny Moskalyk Cristina Chumillas hosted by my dear friend Alejandro Moreno López. This panel discussion turned out to be a great success with lots of engagement from the audience. Day 2 continued with more insightful sessions and it wrapped up with an exciting news of #DrupalConJapan and #DrupalConIndia happening in upcoming years. Day 3 brought lot of folks together at contribution sprint, where i mentored few folks in their contribution journey and the event was wrapped up by a live commit done by Jess (xjm) on drupal core. During the process she shared various insight on how a core release manager handles the seamless releases. Overall my #FirstDrupalCon turned out beyond amazing exceeding all my expectations and i hope to join more such events in the future.
