We recently held our 18th Meetup at GalaxEye, focusing on QGIS. Aman Bagrecha led the workshop, covering topics like adding basemaps, creating spatial bookmarks, image blending, elevation profiling, field calculations, and using Sentinel-2 basemaps through the Sentinel Hub plugin. We also touched on labeling satellite imagery. A big thank you to GalaxEye for hosting us and to IEEE GRSS Bangalore Section for their continued support. Thanks to everyone who joined. Hope you found it useful. We had our 17th meetup at Lalbagh, focusing on mapping trees, benches, streetlamps, veggies shop and even first-aid kit. We mapped over 400 features in Lalbagh, including 50+ trees, dozens of benches and waste baskets and many more! It was an absolute calm morning and chatting with all the incredible diversity of people osm attracts! Shout out to OpenStreetMap Bengaluru for helping out with today's mapathon! To many more in the future! We had our 16th meetup at Microsoft Reactor Space - this time around geospatial AI. Thanks for joining us, hope you all learnt a thing or two about #ML4EO We started with D Rupesh Kumar giving an overview of various usecases of using geospatial AI. He also spoke about the next frontier of AI, that is edge. Next up, Koushik Karmakar demostrated how he quantized his model to a size of 10mb without loosing much accuracy. For the final talk, Sumesh Meppadath spoke on why search is important, more so for geospatial data - across mulitple modalities. He also touched on system architecture for such system. The slides and code will be updated on our github https://lnkd.in/ghph4Fsd Watch the recorded video https://lnkd.in/g2GMvWTB Many thanks to Reactor Space and IEEE GRSS Bangalore Chapter.
