Am I an idiot or what? Inviting the founder + cohort leader from School of SDR (my only competitor) seems like a huge mistake. Or is it? Most of you probably don't know that Rahul Wadhwa 🦄 and I have worked together before. When he started School of SDR, I was thrilled! See, value is one thing, but Rahul genuinely cares for SDRs, their success, their struggles, and their future. We have the same goals! Bringing him on was a no brainer, and if 2 schools get more publicity as a result of 30U30 (instead of just mine) then F*** it! We're building something big, no 40% placement from batches 🤮 - 100% minimum. No SaaS newbies as cohort leaders either. We're selective, only working with talent WE believe will make a difference in SaaS. And that's why we stand together on this. Form fill in the comments - 16 days til it closes. Announcing other judges VERY VERY soon.

  • Might be time to take a serious look at the SaaS industry for all the Unacademy folks! Or any other industry for that matter. Appraisals can and do happen more often than every 2 years 🤘🏼 Also, we have capped the t-shirt budget at INR120/- ($1.43) #vocalforlocal #unacademydoneaccademy #edtechordedtech

A Reddit user shared a snippet from Unacademy’s town hall, pointing out the Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal’s expensive Burberry T-shirt, worth $200 to $570 as he announced that academy employees will not receive appraisals this year. The CEO of Unacademy informed employees that the company did not meet its growth targets and as a result, there will be no appraisals this year. Munjal announced, “I think 2023 was an average year for us. But 2024, if not great, was above average. But we did not hit our growth goals. The good part is that the burn is extremely low now, and we have a huge runway. And I kept saying that we don’t have a survival risk,” Munjal said it was a tough phase because of challenges such as tough market conditions and declining revenue from offline centres, and that's why the firm won't be able to conduct appraisals this year. He also urged the workforce to focus on the bigger picture although some employees have not received appraisals for two years. #startuppedia #unacademy #edtech #corporateemployees
