Highlights from COP29: Integrating Multi-Level Climate Actions & NDCs with Local Climate Funds 🌍 On 13 November 2024 at the Korea Pavilion during COP29, Mr. Emani Kumar, Deputy Secretary General of ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and Executive Director of ICLEI South Asia, delivered a key presentation on "Responding to the Climate Emergency through Multi-Level Climate Action and NDCs." In his talk, Mr. Kumar highlighted the importance of integrating urban components in new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0) that countries are preparing and their role in driving urban mitigation and adaptation. It is an innovative new approach to help cities take bold climate action.
