    🔍 Analyzing the Dip Faced by SaaS Firms It seems ironic that the very pioneers of SaaS—firms that disrupted on-premises enterprise solutions in the 2000s with their cloud-based approach—are now being challenged by technological disruption from #GenAI.🤖 Salesforce, the world's largest enterprise software firm in 2022, has experienced a stock tumble 📉for the first time since 2004. The Business Times reported that Salesforce missed its Q1 revenue target, bringing in $9.13B instead of the expected $9.15B. And as Forbes mentioned, this miss led to a 21.6% drop in their #stock in just one day after announcing lower-than-expected guidance for Q2 and FY 2025. The decline in #marketshares of consistently high-performing #B2BSaaS firms reflects the dynamic market environment and complex challenges, likely influenced by the AI revolution. According to HFS Research, one of the major reasons #SaaS is losing its luster is the increased focus and spending 💰on Gen AI, which promises to become a leading application for enterprise IT. With Gen AI advancing rapidly, C-suite executives are reallocating significant portions of the budgets toward these initiatives. HFS's 2024 Pulse Survey highlights that most Global 2000 enterprises expect IT spending to increase between 6% and 10%. While companies like Nvidia and Dell, which produce hardware to power Gen AI systems, have seen market demand rise, SaaS firms like Salesforce, Workday, Adobe, and Snowflake—despite their efforts to integrate AI—are struggling to find a clear path into the AI world.     AI Scientists have won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics! The relentless dedication to pushing the boundaries of #ArtificialIntelligence and #Neuroscience has finally paid off for two of the brightest minds in the field. The #GodfatherofAI, Geoffrey Hinton, and U.S. scientist John Hopfield have been awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize for their groundbreaking work on #DeepLearning and #NeuralNetworks. Their contributions form the bedrock of modern AI applications that are transforming industries, including recruitment. A proud moment for innovators everywhere, and especially for us at Hyreo as we continue to explore and innovate with #AI.🙌 Hinton's work on the deep connection between physics and AI has been pivotal in transforming today’s #LLMs like #ChatGPT. His development of backpropagation algorithms and advancements in image and speech recognition were already celebrated with the Turing Award in 2018, and now, the Nobel Prize takes it one step further. Hinton’s words, in the light of this latest achievement, were truly inspiring:   “In science, you can say things that seem crazy, but in the long run, they can turn out to be right.
