Ownership and Quality are essential pillars for sustained organizational growth – and they work beautifully in lockstep with one another. Hexagon R&D India is deeply committed to this and is encouraging managers and individual contributors to continue on this path.   Navaneet Mishra, our SVP and Head, reinforced this at a recent session of #STEIgnite at SAP’s R&D campus in Bangalore. The importance of these in individual and organizational growth resonated deeply with the audience. Bringing together organizations (GCCs) to discuss core topics is such a great way to enable growth and innovation in the industry. Let's continue to focus on the bigger picture and make Indian GCCs a great creator of technologies and technologists.

Some people leave an indelible mark on our lives, and Navaneet for me is precisely that—my ex- boss, mentor, now a lifelong #friend, and someone that I can always lean upon for advice or anything else. When I learned that Navaneet would be visiting Bangalore, I couldn’t pass up the chance to invite him for a special #STEIgnite session—a forum where leaders outside #STE share their wisdom on any subject close to their hearts. With no rigid agenda or prescribed messaging, #STEIgnite is purely about storytelling, sharing life lessons, and inspiring those who attend. To my delight, he accepted immediately, and his session became a featured segment of our #AllEmployee meeting, drawing a captivated full house. Listening to Navaneet was like a beautiful journey back in time. He spoke with the same unwavering conviction, clarity, and passion as ever. His topic, "Ownership & Quality: Two to Tango," felt effortlessly aligned with the spirit of the occasion—a timeless lesson from a truly remarkable leader. Some key takeaways from the overall engagement are: - A redefinition of #ownership and #accountability, emphasizing how quality serves as the essential thread that binds them - Insights on how demonstrating personal ownership and a proactive mindset can significantly enhance the quality of our products, thereby enriching the experience for our customers and advancing the company’s goals - Embracing the #BigPicture—understanding the broader context to elevate the value you bring to your area of ownership - A striking statement: “Women need to be 20% smarter than men to succeed”—a poignant reflection on the ongoing challenges around #DiversityAndInclusion, sparking meaningful dialogue within the team - A call for scalable, laser-focused approaches to implementation, underscoring a path toward sustainable success Navaneet wove an inspiring narrative that spanned the organization’s journey—from vision to delivery—and I could sense my team captivated, hanging on to every word. We followed the session with an engaging networking lunch, where a few colleagues seized the chance to dive deeper and ask him questions. The conversations flowed seamlessly, covering everything from strategies to connect meaningfully with the new generation entering the workforce, to practical ways organizations can enhance their #DiversityAndInclusion efforts, to insights on authentic leadership, to his experience of working with government bodies, and much more. It was an enriching experience, leaving us all energized and inspired. Thanks once again Navaneet for taking the time out to be with us. It just felt like old times and what a wonderful time that was…..

When we foster compassion, build community, and create a supportive environment, we can break down those barriers together. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting a remarkable group of young girls from Hexagon and Tharuni's Balika Sanghas in Warangal at our Hexagon R&D India Campus. They conversed with Melanie Eakes and our leadership team during their visit, sharing experiences and their inspiring stories. It was incredible to witness these young women becoming agents of change, inspiring and uplifting their peers and younger generations. Thanks to our partner, Tharuni NGO, who has been working closely with us over the years across six villages, addressing critical issues such as child marriage and child labor and enabling access to education and skill development. #makethingsintelligent #Community #Inspiration #Womenempowerment #Education
