#AirPollution is a global crisis, with 99% of the world’s population breathing air that exceeds WHO's safety limits, leading to 7 million premature deaths annually. In #India, over 1.6 million deaths occur every year due to air pollution, with cities like #Delhi suffering from hazardous AQI levels, especially during winter months. The health impacts are severe, contributing to respiratory and heart diseases, while vulnerable groups such as women and children are at higher risk. (Source: The State of Global Air 2024 report, Lancet study & WHO) At MHT, we are working towards cleaner air by raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and empowering communities to reduce pollution and protect health. Stay tuned to learn how MHT is empowering the most vulnerable communities to tackle air pollution and build a healthier, more resilient future. #BreatheEasy #MHTImpact #HealthyCommunities #DelhiAirPollution World Health Organization | Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India | Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) | UN Environment Programme

🌍 Exciting Milestone in the Journey of Sustainability! 🌱♻️⚡ Proud to be part of the journey of bringing the Open Building Insights (OBI) platform to India! Developed through the IBM Sustainability Accelerator, in collaboration with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Mahila Housing Trust, OBI is designed to help energy planners tackle critical data gaps. By enhancing energy access and supporting the energy transition, it aims to deliver impactful results for those who need it the most. At a milestone event in Ahmedabad, our very first of IBM's Sustainability Accelerator workshop in India, we brought together key stakeholders from Government, Academic institutions, NPOs, and Vendors to showcase the OBI platform. We demonstrated how AI is driving transformative change in energy and urban development, paving the way for a sustainable future. A huge congratulations to everyone involved, especially Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Mahila Housing Trust, for the groundbreaking strides made toward sustainable energy and urban development! A big thank you to Trayana Damyanova András Varga Yukti Makkar for sharing their valuable insights and OBI tool demo.
