  • #grrf Special Day Update 22 December - National Mathematics Day Srinivasa Ramanujan, (December 22, 1887 – April 26, 1920) was globally known mathematician. He had almost no formal training in pure mathematics. But he made most substantial contributions to number analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions, including solutions to mathematical problems. Ramanujan independently compiled nearly 3,900 results (mostly identities and equations). Many were completely novel; his original and highly unconventional results, such as the Ramanujan prime, the Ramanujan theta function, partition formulae and mock theta functions, have opened entire new areas of work and inspired a vast amount of further research. As of now, nearly all his claims have now been proven correct. The Ramanujan Journal, a scientific journal, was established to publish work in all areas of mathematics influenced by Ramanujan and his notebooks—containing summaries of his published and unpublished results—have been analyzed and studied for decades. As late as 2011 and again in 2012, researchers continued to discover that mere comments in his writings about "simple properties" and "similar outputs" for certain findings were themselves profound and subtle number theory results that remained unsuspected until nearly a century after his death. His "lost notebook", containing discoveries from the last year of his life, caused great excitement among mathematicians when it was rediscovered in 1976. He became one of the youngest Fellows of the Royal Society and only the second Indian member, and the first Indian to be elected a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. • 17 December- Rajendranath Lahiri Among the Kakori martyrs, the names of three – Ashfaqullah Khan, Ram Prasad Bismil and Roshan Singh – are well remembered by every Indian, mainly because they were hanged on the same date: December 19, 1927, in the Gonda prison. However, the name of the fourth martyr, Rajendranath Lahiri, hanged two days before on December 17, 1927, largely remains forgotten. He was the mastermind behind Kakori conspiracy and Dakshineshwar bombing. He was active member of Hindustan Republican Association aimed at ousting the British from India. Born in present day Bangladesh, he was a M.A. student in Department of History, Banaras Hindu University when the revolutionary activities started in Uttar Pradesh. He joined the Hindustan Republican Association along with many other Bengali friends. Rajendranath Lahiri (23 June 1901 – 17 December 1927) is one of the India’s immortal martyr. Ramprasad Bismil had planned to rob the British treasury during the meeting held in Shahjahanpur in view of the need for immediate arrangement of funds to give impetus to the freedom movement. According to the plan, Rajendranath Lahiri, a prominent member of the party, stopped the ‘Eight Down Saharanpur-Lucknow Passenger Train’ from Kakori railway station in Lucknow on 9 August 1925 by pulling the chain and under the leadership of revolutionary Bismil Ashfaq Ulla Khan, Chandrashekhar Azad, and six others. The government treasury was looted with the help of allies. Recalling immortal martyr Rajendranath Lahiri , today and always ! #grrf #freddom #fighters #kakori #forgottenheroes #people #unstoppableindian

  • Chandigarh Rock Garden Nek Chand, who secretly constructed an entire garden from urban waste! One day in the early 1960s, Nek Chand, a humble transport official in the north Indian city of Chandigarh, began to clear a little patch of jungle to make himself a small garden area. He set stones around the little clearing and before long had sculpted a few figures recycled from materials he found at hand. Gradually Nek Chand’s creation developed and grew; before long it covered several acres and comprised of hundreds of sculptures set in a series of interlinking courtyards. The Rock Garden is situated near Sukhna Lake at Chandigarh. Spread over an area of 40 acres, the garden is made up of industrial and urban waste material. The Rock garden consists of man-made interlined waterfalls and sculptures which have been built using scrap and throw-away items like bottles, glasses, frames, mudguards, metal wires, porcelain, play marbles, bangles, tiles etc. Today, the world is celebrating 100th Birth anniversary of Shri Nek Chand! #grrf #chandigarh #rockgarden #waste #urbanwaste #sukhna #unstoppableindian

  • 12 December- S. Nambi Narayanan On September 14, 2018 the Supreme Court held that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist S. Nambi Narayanan was the victim of a criminal frame-up based on some kind of fancy or notion. It took him 24 years to clear his name in a spy scandal case. He was charged to sell and leaked technology [cryogenic] that was not existent in India in 1994. In November 1994, Nambi was arrested and was interrogated by the Intelligence Bureau (IB). He was charged with leaking confidential information pertaining to space development to foreign agents. Nambi was the head of Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Cryogenics Division when he was implicated in this fake spying case. In 1996, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) dismissed the charges against Nambi due to the lack of genuine information. In 1998, Supreme Court also dismissed the charges against Nambi. By the damage was already done to his career. After the dismissal of the charges against him, Nambi Narayanan was transferred to Thiruvananthapuram. He retired from his service in 2001. Mr. Nambi has successfully ended a protracted and bitter legal battle to restore his honour and bring his accusers to book. On September 2018, a three-member panel was appointed by the Supreme Court to probe the arrest and alleged torture of Nambi in a case which later turned out to be false. The Kerala government was ordered to pay Nambi a compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the ‘mental cruelty’ he had to endure during the process. Nambi Narayanan was conferred with the third-highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan, in 2019. S. Nambi Narayanan was born on December 12, 1945. He was instrumental in developing the Vikas engine that would be used for the first PSLV that India launched. Join us to wish, S. Nambi Narayanan Happy & Healthy Birthday !! #grrf #ISRO #rocket #conspiracy #science #technology #deepstate #pslv #cryogenic #liquidfuel #unstoppableindian
