One girl empowers another. Let’s change lives together: one girl, one woman and one human being at a time.

About us

Girl Power Talk is passionate about elevating young women to become global leaders who are recognized for their myriad of talents and contributions. We believe that through education, opportunity, and the support of empathetic male allies, girls and women will advance beyond gender roles, aspire to new levels of achievement and reshape our society. Girl Power Talk is more than a company. We are a movement rooted in empowerment, professional ambition, and social impact. For generations, women have been relegated to secondary roles, and the youth are exploited for their energy and inexperience. Through our innovative ecosystem, we are changing the world of work for the better and providing all voices equal weight in a new narrative defining the future.

“I grew up in Beaver Creek, Oregon, a small country town outside of Portland. It was just me, my mom, dad, and sister—your typical middle-class family. My mom was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was six and my sister and I helped care for her. It made us stronger as a family and taught me the value of helping others. My main value is helping others. That’s always been my focus—whether connecting, taking care of people, or giving them the chance to succeed. It’s why I’ve worked to get more women involved in leadership roles in the automotive industry and beyond. My success is a result of those around me who have mentored and supported me. It's about creating opportunities and lifting others up. I volunteer because I’m grateful for what I have, and I believe in giving back. Whether it's helping animals, or supporting our veterans. Contributing to something bigger than myself is deeply fulfilling. Plus, the sense of community that comes with it is priceless. Volunteering opens doors you never knew existed, and it builds a compassionate heart, and I recommend it to everyone. Bring others along for the journey—whether it’s your family, friends, or even your kids. You’ll never regret giving back.” Jen Keane shared on a recent #PeopleWeAdmire interview with Girl Power Talk. The process of search engine optimization (SEO) determines how many users on the internet will see your content. A major component of the process is keywords. They act as flag points for search engines to understand what content is about and who its target audience is. But, contrary to popular logic, overcrowding a file with keywords is not the best tactic to use. Instead, what matters is the placement, or where the keywords are included. ✨ 1) Include them in the page title: The page title catches the attention of a reader. Search engines analyze a title to determine what the content’s purpose is. To achieve the best results, include the primary keyword in the page title. Also, ensure the keyword’s relevance to the article and whether it will catch a reader’s attention. ✨ 2) Place them in the URL: The URL is unique to every file, making it an essential element of content. Include the primary keyword in the domain name, slug, or page name to create a clear and optimized address. ✨ 3) Use them as alt tags for images: Alt text gives search engines context for images. Add relevant keywords smoothly in the alt text to boost visibility and rankings. ✨ 4) Include them in the meta description: Use the primary and secondary keywords at least once in the meta description, as this serves as a guide for search engines. ✨ 5) Include them in the first 200 words: Search engines prioritize the introduction of an article. Add the primary keyword within the first sentence or paragraph for better guidance and ranking. ✨ 6) Insert keywords all across the article: Add keywords naturally throughout the article to prevent overcrowding. A good rule is to use the primary keyword 7–8 times in a 1,000-word article. Ensure the flow is consistent and human-friendly. By strategically placing keywords throughout your content, you can enhance visibility, attract the right audience, and ensure your work resonates with both search engines and readers alike. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂🥧🍁🧡✨ Thanksgiving, celebrated on the last Thursday of November, carries a rich history of gratitude, survival, and the impact of colonization. While it’s often associated with the Pilgrims and Native Americans, the holiday’s story is more complex and continues to evolve. 🕰 The Origins of Thanksgiving The story began in 1620, when a group of English settlers, the Pilgrims, sought religious freedom and journeyed aboard the Mayflower. Harsh storms and delays brought them to present-day Massachusetts, far from their intended destination. That winter, nearly half the settlers perished, leaving the survivors desperate for aid. In the spring of 1621, the Wampanoag tribe helped the Pilgrims adapt by teaching essential agricultural practices. By autumn, a successful harvest led to a three-day feast shared by the Pilgrims and Wampanoag members, symbolizing cooperation and mutual respect. 📜 The Evolution of Thanksgiving Over time, colonies and states observed their own days of thanksgiving for significant events. In 1863, during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday, offering a moment of unity amid strife. Today, it is a day for family gatherings and gratitude, moving beyond its earlier religious roots. 🦃 Modern Traditions Thanksgiving is now celebrated with traditions like: A classic dinner featuring roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie 🍗🥧 Family reunions filled with warmth and joy 💛 "Friendsgiving," where friends gather to share the spirit of gratitude when family connections may be distant or strained 👭👬 🪶 Acknowledging Indigenous Perspectives While Thanksgiving emphasizes gratitude and togetherness, it is also essential to honor its historical implications for Indigenous people. For many Native Americans, this day is a somber reminder of the painful legacy of colonization. Groups like the Wampanoag tribe have called for deeper recognition of this history in modern celebrations. 👫 Giving Back Modern Thanksgiving often includes community-focused acts of kindness, such as cooking meals for those in need. These gestures foster generosity and inclusivity. Thanksgiving has transformed significantly since 1621. It is a day for reflection—on personal blessings, historical truths, and the diverse stories that shape its meaning. As we gather this year on November 28, let’s celebrate with gratitude and awareness, honoring the rich legacy of this day. 🧡 Penned by: Racheal Bankole #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Reflection #History #IndigenousVoices #Friendsgiving #GivingBack #GirlPowerTalk

Today, in our #impactshoutout series, we’re honoring Jessica Seinfeld founder and board chair of the GOOD+ Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering families. Since launching Good+Foundation in 2001, Jessica has redefined support for under-resourced families across the U.S., blending essential goods with life-changing services. GOOD+ Foundation’s unique model goes beyond meeting basic needs by pairing items like diapers, strollers, and food with impactful programs in job training, financial literacy, GED attainment, and healthy relationship counseling. Through a network of 75 anti-poverty programs, GOOD+ helps parents build pathways toward lasting stability and economic independence. Recognizing the crucial role of fathers in family life, Jessica expanded the foundation’s focus in 2010 to include support for non-custodial and formerly incarcerated fathers. With targeted programs, GOOD+ has supported over 25,000 fathers across cities like Baltimore, Houston, New York, and Los Angeles. By providing resources such as employment assistance, co-parenting classes, and financial literacy training, GOOD+ is strengthening families and giving fathers the tools to re-engage with their children.  Corporate partnerships also play a vital role in GOOD+’s mission. Through financial and in-kind donations, GOOD+ collaborates with brands in powerful ways to amplify its work and elevate corporate social responsibility. From employee engagement to cross-promotional campaigns, Jessica has built a robust model for impactful community and corporate collaboration.  Jessica’s vision also addresses structural barriers: in collaboration with Ascend at the Aspen Institute, GOOD+ advocates for reforms in outdated child support laws. They work toward fairer policies, co-parenting support, and solutions that prioritize families over punishment. Beyond her advocacy work, Jessica is also a celebrated author of five New York Times bestselling cookbooks. Her books, including Deceptively Delicious and Food Swings, reflect her commitment to family and wellness in every aspect of life. Let’s celebrate Jessica Seinfeld’s tireless work empowering families, supporting fathers, and creating a future where every family has the resources and opportunities to succeed! #ImpactShoutout #Empowerment #FamilySupport #SocialImpact #GoodFoundation #GirlPowerTalk #Inspiration #CommunityBuilding #Fatherhood #GirlPowerStories
