What makes a living room luxurious? (It’s more than just designer furniture.) Take a look at this space. What do you see? ✨ Deep, moody walls that bring drama and elegance. ✨ Soft, curved seating that invites you to relax. ✨ A statement art piece that doubles as lighting—functional and striking. ✨ Metallic accents that add a touch of sophistication. But here’s the key: luxury isn’t just about what you see—it’s about how it makes you feel. The soft textures, the careful play of light, the intentional balance between comfort and opulence... This isn’t just a living room. It’s an experience. Because true luxury is about creating spaces that make you pause and breathe. What’s your favorite element of this room? Let’s discuss below. 👇

A clinic that feels like home. That was the vision behind the Galt Health Family Medical Clinic, designed by Fonseka Studio in Cambridge, Ontario. Here’s how it makes difference: 1️⃣ Light and warmth as priorities Natural light pours through the space, complemented by natural wood details. It’s designed to bring a sense of calm and connection to nature—for patients and staff alike. 2️⃣ Thoughtful functionality We placed patient rooms centrally to allow staff to move effortlessly while enjoying brief glimpses of the outdoors. Rest areas are intentionally designed to rejuvenate the caregivers too. 3️⃣ Comfort in every detail With pitched ceilings and carefully balanced heights, patient rooms feel open, cozy, and private all at once—more like home, less like a hospital. 4️⃣ Sustainability at the core By reusing an existing structure and sourcing materials locally, we minimized waste. Enhanced thermal efficiency means less energy, more comfort. This isn’t just a clinic—it’s a model for better healthcare design. A place where community insights and well-being come first. 🛠️ Designed under the leadership of Jaliya Fonseka, who believes that architecture can foster compassion and equity. ----------- Project name: Fonseka Studio Location: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Size: 246m2 Architecture / Interior Design / Millwork: Fonseka Studio Completion: 2023 General Contractor: Fonseka Studio Structural / Mechanical Engineer: Sopes Engineering All images © Riley Snelling. Architects don’t just design buildings – they design solutions. While most people might focus on a single area, architects are juggling a symphony of responsibilities: 🧠 Creativity to envision possibilities. 🌍 Environment to ensure sustainability. 👥 Clients to translate dreams into reality. 📐 Design to craft spaces that inspire. 💻 I.T., Law, Economics, and more – because building isn’t just physical; it’s a balance of logic, compliance, and vision. Every project is a testament to their ability to weave together a hundred different threads into something beautiful, functional, and timeless. Tag an architect you know and appreciate their brilliance. 🙌 hashtag #Architecture hashtag #Creativity hashtag #Design hashtag #Sustainability Ar. A design to reshape sports in Saudi Arabia. Global architectural firm Populous has just unveiled the design for the King Salman Stadium, set to become the largest-capacity stadium in Saudi Arabia. With features like a Royal Box, hospitality skyboxes and lounges, 300 VVIP seats, and 2,200 VIP seats, the main stadium will accommodate more than 92,000 people in total. Internal screens, gardens, and a rooftop walking path with expansive views of King Abdulaziz Park will all be features of the venue. Here’s why this matters: 1️⃣ A sporting and cultural hub. Located on King Salman Road, adjacent to King Abdulaziz Park, this stadium is part of an ambitious master plan that blends sports, business, and leisure into one vibrant space. 2️⃣ Future-ready. Slated for completion in late 2029, the stadium is primed to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, along with other major global and local events. 3️⃣ Sustainability meets design. From green roofs to a rooftop walking path with panoramic park views, every detail reflects a commitment to sustainability and community engagement. It’s a beacon of Saudi Arabia’s vision for the future, showcasing their dedication to global sports and inclusive development. Populous’ Senior Principal, Mark Craine, summed it up perfectly: “This design blends architecture with landscape, creating a space that prioritizes flexibility, community, and year-round usability—all while meeting FIFA standards for the biggest matches on the planet.” All renderings © Populous. > via Populous
