We are excited to welcome Krishna Mehra to Elevation Capital as AI Partner, deepening our commitment to partnering with India's most ambitious SaaS and AI founders. At Elevation, we are extremely bullish on Indian founders building category-defining AI companies for the world, and with Krishna leading our presence in Silicon Valley, we are better positioned than ever to help founders realize this opportunity. Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Krishna will lead our SaaS and AI investments in the India-US corridor - not just supporting Indian founders building for global markets but also engaging with Indian diaspora founders who are leveraging talent and innovation across both ecosystems. Krishna is a successful serial entrepreneur, having co-founded Capillary Technologies in 2008, a forerunner of India's cross-border SaaS movement. He also founded the meal delivery marketplace Taro in 2015, scaling it to deliver over a million meals before its successful acquisition by EAT Club. As an angel investor, Krishna has backed over 45 companies, which have collectively created over $5 billion in enterprise value. Krishna joins us from Meta, where he led engineering for messaging ads, driving $10B+ in revenue with AI-driven products and deploying some of the world’s largest machine-learning models, including early adoption of Meta’s Llama. Prior to that, he architected enterprise-grade, exabyte-scale cloud systems at Cohesity. Krishna’s trifecta of experiences as a founder, operator, and investor par excellence makes him an invaluable addition to our partnership and, more importantly, a tremendous resource for founders we partner with. Super excited to welcome Krishna at Elevation Capital as we further fuel this journey to support impactful AI companies across the India-US corridor! From the very first meeting, it was clear that Krishna’s passion for startups runs deep. What stood out most for me was his genuine care for the ecosystem and the people within it, coupled with an incredible curiosity that drives him to learn, share, and contribute in ways that truly make a difference. Working with someone who not only brings exceptional expertise but also such a thoughtful perspective is a rare privilege. Thrilled to welcome Krishna Mehra to our partnership @ Elevation Capital - https://lnkd.in/gGKk93bw Finding the right person for this role took over a year and countless interviews, but when we met Krishna, it was love at first Zoom call! What was very palpable on that call was his excitement to leverage his experience as a founder and operator, to partner with founders and contribute to their success. As an angel investor, he’s been a great ally to several Indian entrepreneurs, and he now wanted to make this his primary mission. What also really impressed us about Krishna is his humility and long-term vision - qualities we really cherish at Elevation. We are extremely bullish on Indian founders building category-defining AI companies for the world, and with Krishna leading our presence in Silicon Valley, we are better positioned than ever to support these audacious entrepreneurs! Excited for what’s ahead! Ravi Adusumalli Chirag Chadha Mayank Khanduja Mridul Arora Poorvi Vijay Vaas Bhaskar PS: Big thanks to Arnav Kumar for introducing me and Krishna! 🙂

Many congratulations to Mintifi on raising $180M in their Series E round led by Prosus Group and Teachers' Venture Growth (Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan)! We're thrilled to participate in SolarSquare Energy's $40M Series B round, which marks the largest venture round in an Indian solar startup. This milestone deepens our partnership that began with leading their Series A in 2022, backing Shreya Mishra, Neeraj Jain, and Nikhil Nahar's vision to accelerate solar adoption by making it easier than ever for families to make the switch to solar. The team's mission to bring clean, affordable solar energy to every Indian home resonated deeply with us from the start, and we've been impressed by how they've executed on this vision through a full-stack approach. Since our initial investment, SolarSquare has emerged as India's #1 residential solar company, helping over 20,000 homes and 200+ cooperative housing societies transition to solar energy. Their post-sales maintenance service and state-of-the-art asset management technology have established them as India's largest operator of distributed solar assets. Looking ahead, SolarSquare's ambitions are bold and inspiring. The team aims to expand operations from 20 to 50 cities across India while continuing to invest heavily in technology, talent, and brand building. With only 1% of Indian homes having adopted solar so far, SolarSquare is uniquely positioned to lead India's residential clean energy transition. Manish Advani sat down with Shreya to unpack the company's remarkable journey so far and the roadmap for the next phase of growth.
