Established in 1981, Design Plus boasts of over 800 Completed Projects. These vary in program, scale and region. The Studio is extremely proud of its accomplishments during the last decade. During this period, Design Plus has won several national design competitions, and also applauded with various Awards and recognition. Recognised as the best commercial architectural practice in Haryana to being recognised as the best practise in India for Education and Sports Infrastructure. A Study in Materiality and Craft This 5800 Sq.Ft. residence is an architectural ode to material honesty, spatial precision, and bespoke craftsmanship. A thoughtful curation of materials—Sheesham, American Oak, Burma Teak, and salvaged Marandi wood, along with stone, brick, and wallpaper—establishes a design narrative of warmth and timeless elegance. The dining and bar tables feature identical planks of American Oak, their distinction emerging from nuanced planing and polish. The living room sofas and dining chairs, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, echo his ethos of integrating geometry and furniture into the architecture. Material transformation takes center stage. Water-washed stone cladding on the fireplace reveals unique density patterns, while brick walls in the dining area celebrate tactile warmth, further personalized with the architect’s own pencil sketches. This home exemplifies the fusion of heritage and innovation, offering bespoke interiors that transcend convention. Designed by Design Plus Architects, its uniqueness lies in the variation in its concept and design which lead to the desired environment. The pliant bar - The bar at 26, NOIDA, demonstrates the mathematical principal of contouring at play. The fabrication of the single and few double curved surfaces (all of them loosely referred to as fluid surfaces) is resolved by the generation of hundreds of unique coplanar profiles. While the endeavour of solving a complex geometry maybe constant, the methodology of the solution: the details, the materials, the dimensions are varied.
