Launching the Future of Digital Skills: The DS2S Network 🌐
In the heart of Bangalore, where technology innovation is a way of life, we launched the DS2S Network—a dynamic partnership uniting universities and industry leaders from Bangladesh, Germany, India, and Vietnam. Our shared mission? To equip students with digital skills that not only match today’s workforce demands but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow. 🌍💻
The DS2S Network is a collaborative ecosystem with a purpose. With a newly formed Steering Committee and specialised working groups focused on AI, Data, and Digital Entrepreneurship, we are not merely teaching digital skills; we are building a framework for sustainable, transformative education. This is a place where faculty, students, and industry professionals collaborate to make digital skills universally accessible and adaptable across disciplines.
Industry giants such as CISCO, IBM, SAP, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Lenovo, and Capgemini joined us in Bangalore, where we charted a path for digital skills in non-tech fields. We are pioneering tomorrow’s education through innovative models like the 60/40 learning approach. This unique model combines 60 percent hands-on, practical learning with 40 percent classroom instruction, allowing students to personalise their educational journeys with targeted micro-credentials.
In every discussion, one truth was clear: digital skills are not confined to technology— the DS2S Network’s approach empowers students to build their expertise through a modular learning path, addressing digital skills gaps in ways traditional education often does not. The Micro-Credential Strategy Canvas ensures that every micro-credential meets job market demands and aligns with industry needs.
What sets DS2S micro-credentials apart? Gamified, interactive learning experiences—students acquire complex skills through adventure quests, survival games, and agile frameworks like eduScrum and Design Thinking. These immersive activities turn learning into an engaging journey, where students unlock new skills.
