  • By 2028, a third of all enterprise software applications will include agentic AI. Moreover, 15% of daily work decisions will be made autonomously by AI agents. The potential is immense, but so are the challenges.   Designing AI agents to be practical tools, not as gimmicky, pseudo-human assistants is the right way to ensure users are not frustrated with the implementation.   The formula:-   1️⃣ Task-Oriented Design AI agents are here to simplify tasks, not replace human colleagues. - Keep their focus on functionality. - Avoid giving them names, pronouns, or overly “human” traits—these create unrealistic expectations.   2️⃣ Build Trust Through Transparency Users must know upfront that they’re interacting with AI, not a human. - Transparency builds trust. - Clear expectations lead to better user satisfaction.   3️⃣ Align with Your Brand Voice AI agents can become an integral part of your brand. - They must communicate in your company’s voice and tone. - A consistent brand voice creates a unified customer experience.   4️⃣ Inclusive Design AI agents should be accessible to everyone. - Include features like screen readers and voice commands. - Ensure the design caters to a broad range of users, leaving no one out.   5️⃣ Collaborative, Not Anthropomorphic AI agents are tools to enhance human capabilities, not replacements for human colleagues. - They should complement human work, not take over tasks. - Focus on augmentation, not imitation.     So, where does this leave us? The future of AI agents is thrilling, but their success depends on thoughtful design.
