Role and Responsibilities: · Assist in the on-site setup and maintenance of seaweed cultivation systems. · Collect and document environmental and cultivation data from various field locations. · Work with community stakeholders, including SHGs and local entrepreneurs, to implement cultivation practices. · Analyze collected data to assess the growth and yield of seaweed species under different conditions. · Support the team in research and development initiatives for improving farming techniques. Qualifications: · Enrolled in or recently graduated with a fisheries, life science, or Environmental Sciences degree. · Basic knowledge of seaweed biology and aquaculture practices. Interested? Devleena Bhattacharjee, our COO hosted a panel at the *GeoSmart India, 2024*, on *Blue Economy & Hydrospatial Infrastructure - Digital Seas: Ocean Climate Change Advisory Services and Delivery Platform* which saw participation from thought leaders, deep subject matter experts, and innovators from the Blue Economy space, having deep expertise across #marine, #maritime and #naval sectors. Our eminent panelists consisted of Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, kapildev bahl, Praful Talera and Arnab Das. A lot was covered - the historical context of the present marine blindness in India, pathways to building marine consciousness and marine prowess through skill development, technology adoption, #digitization of data and #digitalization of the marine economy, sustainable bottom-up infrastructure building, use of satellite and in-situ sensors in building effective marine spatial policies and digital twins of our oceans, technology to foster collaboration and cooperation with nations bordering our oceans, the geo-political and #geoeconomic context of advancing #research and #technologies in the blue economy space and more. 🌊 Celebrated World Fisheries Day with Innovation and Empowerment! 🌍  On 21st November 2024, we marked World Fisheries Day with a special event at Jaigad JSW VTC, Ratnagiri district.
