Building Happy Childhoods

About us

Welcome to Child Chapter Association. www.ChildChapter.org We are a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting against child abuse in India and are working diligently towards our goal of eradicating child abuse completely from our society. At Child Chapter Association, we believe in a child's right to a safe and happy childhood. To ensure that no child becomes a victim of abuse, we educate children about abuse and empower them with the tools to protect themselves. Comic Content/Material Development : Old methods of spreading awareness have fallen short, and that's where we come in. We create comic content and materials aimed at educating children about what abuse is and how they can protect themselves. Our unique approach lies in our digital and printed comic materials. We have developed an innovative method to teach children about the dangers of child abuse in a child-friendly and relatable way, making it easy for them to grasp complex and sensitive topics. Our digital comic content and comic book material aim to instil knowledge, courage, and safety consciousness in every child, teaching them about their rights, good touches and bad touches, how to protect themselves and others in potentially harmful situations, and how to report abuse to trusted adults. These comic materials provide a lasting impact, remaining with the child as they grow up, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to speak up. Recognizing that not all children have internet access, we also publish our materials in print format and distribute them free of charge to children attending government schools across India. This ensures that every child, regardless of their financial status, is aware of their rights and how to safeguard themselves from abuse. Free For Every Children Online & Offline : We provide all these resources for free, whether digitally or in the form of comic books, making them accessible to all, irrespective of their socio-economic status.

Our comic storybook Raise Your Voice has been officially launched in Italian Language in Italy. This initiative, which has already reached 15,000+ children and rescued over 35+ children from severe abuse and brought smiles back to their lives in India, owes its success to the steadfast support of Jiten Patel Ji, who has played an instrumental role in strengthening the initiative’s foundation in India. His unwavering commitment has enabled Raise Your Voice to grow and positively impact the lives of thousands of children across India. Leading Telugu Newspaper Sakshi Features our CHILD CHAPTER’s ‘Raise Your Voice’ Drama Initiative in Govt Schools. Today, Sakshi, one of the leading Telugu newspapers, featured the Raise Your Voice initiative—a drama performed by teachers in schools to educate children. The drama was based on a story from the Raise Your Voice comic storybook, designed to help children understand sensitive topics in a simple and engaging way. News Paper Link : https://lnkd.in/d2QFjN8C https://lnkd.in/d-W8QsHc Empowering Children Through Drama: A Step Towards a Fearless Future. My intention with this initiative is to reach as many children as possible, educating them in a way that is both fun and easy to understand. Traditional methods of delivering serious lectures often fail to resonate with young minds. Through interactive methods like storytelling and drama, we aim to replace fear with knowledge and confidence. No child should go to bed scared. No child should ever feel so hopeless as to take their own life because they were too afraid to confide in someone they trust. My mission is to educate children in a way that they feel empowered and safe, using comic stories and now, through dramatized performances in government schools. India has 444 million children, and while we may believe that most are happy, the harsh reality is that many live in darkness, struggling silently. The stories of child abuse and neglect we occasionally see on the news barely scratch the surface of what happens every day in the lives of countless children. What we perceive as rare incidents are, in fact, a daily reality for many. Through this initiative, my goal is to reach every child and give them the confidence to know they are not alone. I want them to understand that there are people ready to help them—if they dare to speak out. The journey has just begun, and I am committed to ensuring that no child feels isolated or unheard. By presenting these important lessons in creative, relatable formats, we can give children the knowledge and courage to protect themselves and seek help when needed. Every step we take is a step closer to a world where no child lives in fear. Jakeer Hussain Shaik

Raise Your Voice Drama: A Fun and Impactful Way to Address Child Abuse in Govt Schools. Empowering Children Through Play. Child abuse is a pervasive and serious issue that affects countless children worldwide. While addressing this critical topic is essential, the manner in which it is taught can make all the difference. For children, complex subjects like abuse need to be conveyed in a way that is relatable, engaging, and comfortable. Recognizing this, our CHILD CHAPTER initiative introduced the comic storybook Raise Your Voice, a unique tool designed to educate children in government primary schools across India. The Comic storybook addresses sensitive topics such as private body parts, good and bad touch, and reporting abuse, all through age-appropriate, engaging illustrations and stories. Now,our CHILD CHAPTER has taken this mission a step further by introducing an innovative concept: Raise Your Voice Drama. What is Raise Your Voice Drama? Raise Your Voice Drama is an interactive drama activity where teachers, using one story from the Raise Your Voice comic Storybook, act out scenarios to educate children about child abuse. This isn’t just another teaching method; it’s a game-changer. By involving teachers in the dramatization, children feel more at ease and engaged. Teachers also find this approach enjoyable, fostering a friendly and collaborative atmosphere in schools, which is often lacking in many government schools. This playful yet impactful activity turns classrooms into spaces where serious concepts are taught in a fun, memorable way. Children not only absorb these lessons better but also find their voices to speak up against abuse, creating an environment of trust and awareness. Why Drama Works ? Teaching critical topics like child abuse in a straightforward, serious manner often instills fear or confusion in children. However, through the combination of our comic storybook and the Drama activity, education becomes approachable and entertaining. This method instills lessons deeply in children’s minds and hearts while creating a safe space for open conversations. Drama ensures that children not only understand these vital concepts but also feel empowered to take action. By making teachers active participants, we bridge the gap between teachers and students, fostering stronger bonds and creating an inclusive environment for learning and growth. The introduction of Drama marks a new chapter in our mission to combat child abuse through innovative and child-friendly methods. By creating an environment where learning meets play, we aim to ensure that no child suffers in silence. All of this has been possible because of the support and dedication of one man whose commitment has been the strongest pillar for my initiative— Jiten Patel ji. From day one, his unwavering belief in our mission, his resources, and his encouragement have empowered me to make a tangible difference in countless innocent lives. Jakeer Hussain Shaik

Our School HM Is Sexually Abusing Me: ‘Anna, Please Help Me’ – A Little Orphaned Girl’s Tearful Plea for Help and Justice. Recently, we visited a government primary school to distribute our comic storybook, Raise Your Voice. The session was well-received. I spoke to the children about protecting themselves and encouraged them to raise their voice if they ever felt unsafe. The headmaster (HM) of the school was very supportive during the event. He even spoke passionately about child abuse, emphasizing how such acts must be stopped and lauding our efforts. Everything seemed positive as we concluded the session and began leaving the school. I had parked my vehicle outside the school campus. As I was walking toward it, just as I crossed the school gates, a little girl came running behind me. She stopped me by grabbing my hand tightly. Her face was drenched in tears, and she was sobbing uncontrollably, her small body trembling with fear. “Anna, I want to tell you something,” she said, her voice shaking. I knelt down, holding her little hands in mine, and gently reassured her. “Yes, tell me. Whatever it is, I promise to help you,” I said, trying to instill trust and confidence in her. She hesitated for a moment, looking around nervously, then led me a few steps away from the school gate and, through her sobs, revealed something that shocked me to my core. She said she was being abused by someone in the school. When I asked her who it was, she said, “Our headmaster.” I was stunned. Just a few minutes earlier, this same headmaster had spoken so convincingly about protecting children. His words about child safety now felt hollow and hypocritical. I gently asked the girl if she had told anyone about this. She said she had informed other teachers, but none of them cared enough to take action. instead of supporting her or reporting on headmaster, the other teachers told her to stay silent. “Don’t tell anyone,” they said, silencing her voice and leaving her to endure the pain alone. They prioritized their personal benefits—like receiving full attendance without regular work—over the safety of this child. The girl was an orphan, living in a government hostel. With no family or support system, she had no one to turn to with her pain. Without wasting any time, I reported the matter to the concerned authorities. An internal investigation was carried out, which resulted in the suspension of the complicit staff members. The headmaster was arrested for his heinous crime. Recognizing the trauma the little girl had endured, I ensured she received proper counseling and emotional support to help her heal. Her courage to speak up, despite her fear, was truly inspiring. After hearing of this orphaned girl’s painful story, I decided to form a Village-Level Child Chapter Welfare Committee. I will be sharing the details of this committee very soon. The Role of Telangana’s Visionary Administration in Fighting Child Abuse: Bringing Smiles to Children Across India. A Tribute to Telangana’s Strength. Today, as I sat down for a profound discussion with a few distinguished IAS officers at Telangana Secretariat, I couldn’t help but reflect on the immense support and strength I draw from this incredible land of Telangana. This soil, rich with history and resilience, has not only shaped its people but has also given individuals like me the moral and practical support to champion initiatives like our comic storybook, Raise Your Voice. With the support of this incredible land and its proactive administration, our Raise Your Voice initiative has reached corners of India that once seemed impossible to touch. From the bustling cities to the most remote villages, I have been able to connect with children, educate them about their safety, and bring back smiles to faces that had forgotten the joy of innocence. I vividly recall the moments in far-flung areas where children sat huddled together, flipping through the pages of our comic storybook, their eyes wide with wonder and hope. These are not just fleeting images—they are imprints on my heart that remind me why this work matters so deeply. The sparkle in their eyes, the laughter breaking through their shyness, and the courage they muster to voice their fears—these moments are priceless. But none of this would have been possible without the strength and inspiration I draw from Telangana. This land has taught me resilience and given me a sense of belonging that fuels my determination. It has given me the tools, the encouragement, and most importantly, the confidence to take on this monumental fight against child abuse. The Telangana administration, with its forward-thinking approach and unwavering commitment to societal progress, has been instrumental in this journey. As I travel to places where hope is a rare commodity, I carry with me the strength of Telangana. This land’s history of resilience and its people’s unwavering spirit guide me through the challenges. Every time I see a child smile again, every time I witness the spark of hope in their eyes, I know it is because Land of Telangana has given me the courage and resources to make this happen. Telangana is more than a state—it is a beacon of strength, a source of inspiration to me. To the administrative officers, to the people, and to this extraordinary land, I owe everything. Your support has turned what seemed like an impossible mission into a reality. I understand that many states in India are blessed with their own unique and dedicated administrative officers, much like Telangana. Thank you, Telangana, for giving me the strength to fight for every child, for helping me bring smiles back to their faces, and for inspiring me to dream of a future where every child in India has a happy and secure childhood. The Man Behind the Smiles: Jiten Patel’s Unwavering Support. The Smiles That Returned: Shri Jiten Patel Ji’s Incredible Contribution. When happiness and smiles were taken away from these innocent blind children, no one imagined they would smile again. Yet, through his boundless kindness and unwavering support, Shri Jiten Patel Ji has brought those smiles back to their faces. His selfless contributions have not only brightened their lives but also given them hope and strength to face the world with confidence. When our CHILD CHAPTER ‘s comic storybook Raise Your Voice was just an idea—a mere concept— Jiten Patel Ji was the first to believe in it. Without his initial encouragement and support, this initiative may never have taken shape. He held my hand when others doubted, providing the resources and motivation necessary to bring my vision to life. Today, because of his unwavering support, we have not only created this storybook but also reached unimaginable milestones. It is because of Jiten Patel Ji that we have been able to: 1. Create our Raise Your Voice comic storybook in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Braille for the visually impaired. 2. Distribute 11,000+ books to children studying in government schools across India. And Empowered them through education and awareness. 3. Print and begin distributing 5,000 Braille copies for blind children. helping them learn and protect themselves. 4. Rescue and support 35+ children from sexual abuse and trauma. giving them a chance at a secure and happy childhood. #Blind #children are often among the most vulnerable, as they can be easy targets for abusers. While most parents can step in to protect their children, these blind children often have no one but God as their savior. My goal is to make them strong enough to protect themselves and recognize potential dangers. Yet, the real person who made all of this possible—who enabled me to bring smiles to these blind children and many others—is Jiten Patel Ji. He supports this initiative purely out of the kindness of his heart and his genuine commitment to the welfare of our future generations. Even multi-millionaires and billionaires often fail to achieve what Jiten Patel has done with his selfless efforts. He has brought joy and security to the lives of countless children, creating a ripple effect of positive change that will impact generations to come. I am deeply fortunate and honored to have Shri Jiten Patel Ji in my life. His unwavering support, humility, and generosity have been a guiding light in my mission to create secure and happy childhoods for children across India. To him,I owe not just the success of this initiative but also the smiles that brighten the faces of thousands of children—including those little blind children who can now imagine a brighter future for themselves. Thank you,Jiten Patel Ji,for being the force behind these milestones and for showing us all the true meaning of kindness and compassion. Jakeer Hussain Shaik

When a Common Man Sees the Good in Another Common Man. On Oct 25, I arrived at the Income Tax Department with a mix of determination and hope. This hearing was pivotal for our NGO, the Child Chapter Association, as we sought permanent 12A and 80G certifications—essential for continuing our work to protect and uplift vulnerable children. Although we had been operating under provisional certification, permanent status would enable us to make a lasting impact and secure our NGO future. Before meeting with the Honourable Commissioner,I explained my journey to a senior officer—how I had been inspired to start this organization,I explained how our raise your voice comic storybook help young ones feel safe, supported, and able to report wrongs to trusted adults without fear.I shared real stories of courage, where children found their voices to overcome painful, hidden trauma, stepping forward to reclaim their happiness and security. After my initial meeting, the senior officer directed my case to the Hon’ble Commissioner. I was honored to speak directly with the Commissioner and explain the depth of our mission. I felt as though I was speaking to a living embodiment of the goddess Durga herself—a compassionate, powerful presence who listened to the pain and struggles of the children we work to protect. She listened with understanding, and after considering my work and its impact, She granted us the permanent certificates we needed. As I stepped out of the office, the office attendant Venkatesh Ji who had been listening from the sidelines approached me, and his words left an indelible mark on my heart. With a smile and tear-filled eyes,he reached out to shake my hand, overwhelmed with emotion. He said he had been praying silently for me while I was inside with the Commissioner, hoping i would succeed. “Sir,” he began, his voice filled with emotion, “every day, I see many people come through these doors. But the work you’re doing… it’s truly remarkable. You’re giving a voice to children who have suffered in silence, allowing them to breathe freely, without fear. You’re changing lives. His words touched me deeply. Here was a man—someone I had never met, someone with no obligation to me—showing genuine appreciation for the mission we are on.He saw beyond my visit as just another official matter; he saw the impact I am trying to make on society, the hope i aim to bring to children. With a humility that was both touching and rare,he asked if he could take a picture with me, wanting to remember our brief but meaningful encounter. I felt honored by his request, and we took a photo, united by a shared belief in a better world for children. As I left the building that day, I walked away with more than certificates, I carried with me the encouragement and faith of a stranger who saw the value of my work and responded with pure, heartfelt kindness. Encounters like these renew my strength, reminding me that I am not alone in this journey. Jakeer Hussain Shaik

My Father’s Elder Brother—My Bade Pappa—Would Put on Loud Music in the Room While He Hurt Me. With Tears in Her Eyes, the Little Child Said. One of the most painful truths of our world is that, behind closed doors, there are children who suffer in silence. Children who are too scared, confused, or isolated to share the darkness they endure. But sometimes, with the right support and guidance, they find the strength to break that silence. Recently, our Raise Your Voice comic storybook, specifically the “How Do You Feel Today?” page, played a crucial role in a young girl’s life, helping her to finally open up about the abuse she faced. I received a call from a teacher who explained that one of her students had been marking the dates in red on this page, indicating fear, every single day. Despite the teacher’s gentle encouragement, the girl remained silent about what was causing her so much fear. Yet, she mentioned one thing: “I’ll tell Jakeer Anna if he comes to the school.” The teacher reached out to me right away, and I immediately went to meet the girl. Together, the teacher and I took her to a HM room, away from the other students, I assured her that she could trust me, that I was there to protect her and to help. Slowly, she started to speak, and the weight of her pain filled the room. She told me her story: her father’s elder brother—her Bade Pappa—would #put on #loud #music in the room #while #he #sexually #abused #her. The loud music would cover her cries, and she was left alone to bear not only physical pain but also the overwhelming pain in her heart and mind. She struggled to express how deeply the fear and confusion affected her, but her words showed the heavy toll it had taken on her young soul. With her words, I knew immediate action was necessary.I reported her abuser to the authorities, and he is now facing legal consequences for his actions. While her identity and further details are kept confidential due to laws that protect minors, her story represents so many other children who silently endure abuse, too afraid or unable to ask for help. Today,as I reflect on this experience,I feel grateful that our Raise Your Voice storybook reached her, and that through it, she found a way to indicate her distress and gain a pathway to safety. I feel proud and blessed to have been able to intervene in this little girl’s life, pulling her out of that darkness and silence. It pains me deeply to know that there are still children out there suffering alone. But this experience strengthens my resolve to continue our mission of empowering children, giving them tools to raise their voices, and bringing light into their lives. I am grateful for every opportunity to stand up for them, to be someone they can trust. #Dear #followers, by clicking #like on this post, you aren’t endorsing abuse. Instead, you’re helping raise awareness and supporting children suffering in silence. Thank you for standing with me in this mission. Jakeer Hussain Shaik

On 29 Oct, 2024, Microsoft Invites Me and Child Chapter Association to Hyderabad Campus to Support our “Raise Your Voice” Comic Storybook Initiative. I am just a ordinary person on a mission to make a difference, and this 29 October, Microsoft honored me and my organization, the CHILD CHAPTER, with an invitation to their Hyderabad campus to share our mission with their employees. During their Give Month event, Microsoft dedicates the month of October to celebrating the spirit of giving and making a positive impact in society. Standing before Microsoft’s dedicated team, I had the opportunity to explain the Raise Your Voice initiative—a comic storybook project designed to educate and empower children in identifying and reporting abuse. I am beyond grateful for the compassion and generosity shown by Microsoft employees, who not only heard my initiative but stood with us, contributing funds to help save the lives of thousands of children across India. And also Microsoft employees draw few comics to gift to underprivileged children, bringing smiles to their faces. Until yesterday, public speaking in a corporate setting was foreign to me. Yet, for the first time, I found myself speaking to a room full of corporate professionals. As I stood there, I realized just how committed #Microsoft and its #employees are to the safety and well-being of future generations. In a world where many overlook the silent cries of vulnerable children, Microsoft stands out as a rare and inspiring example of a company that prioritizes social responsibility alongside innovation. Microsoft’s commitment reflects the vision and leadership instilled by people like Bill Gates and Satya Nadella. Through their guidance, Microsoft has become a symbol of social responsibility, standing out as a company that strives not only for success but also for meaningful, lasting change in society. Microsoft’s dedication to creating a better future for our children speaks volumes about their core values, and I deeply respect the team for making this vision a reality. This association with Microsoft would never have been possible without the unwavering support of Jayasri Nagrale. Her dedication to helping underprivileged children escape trauma and reclaim hope is extraordinary. Through partnerships like these, I am reminded that even simple beginnings can have powerful impacts. Together, with the generosity of Microsoft and the unwavering compassion of people like Jayasri, we are working toward a world where every child can experience a safe, secure, and joyful childhood.
