We are delighted to announce that our recent #sustainability initiatives, collaborations, and efforts in the Tirupur cluster, in partnership with the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA), have been honoured with the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for "Best Sustainability Service to the Fairtrade India Project – CSM" by TEXTILE NEWS- NUGARVOUR EXPRESS. This recognition celebrates our commitment to supporting the adoption of #sustainable practices in the #fashion & textile sector within the Tirupur cluster through the #Fairtrade Sustainability Clinic (CSM). This award highlights the significant impact of the CSM & Fairtrade Sustainability Clinic in advancing sustainability #awareness and fostering better practices across the cluster. We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers, Tirupur sustainability champions, the human resources & compliance team, and the jury for this nomination. A special thanks to Padmashri Dr. A. Sakthivel, Founder President of TEA TIRUPPUR, South In-charge AEPC, and President AMHSSC; Thiru K.M. Subramanian, President of TEA; and Shri P. Carbon Emissions Monitoring & Effective Solutions Workshop was organised on the 8th of August in collaboration with TIRUPPUR EXPORTERS' ASSOCIATION. The event was co-funded by the European Union SWITCH-Asia Official programme to support transition to UN SDG 12- Responsible Production & Consumption. With experts – Mr. Hari Prasad & Mr. Manoj from Beyos | Beyond Sustainability; Mr. Abdul Azeez from REDEFINE Management Services™, Mr. Mrinal Bose from Leadership & Sustainability and Mr. Senthilnathan V from Fairtrade India project of CENTRE FOR SOCIAL MARKETS   The sessions were designed to provide practical know-how related to GHG emission monitoring and to demystify the measurement and green transition process for the Textiles industry, particularly the MSMEs. With participation of close to 250 delegates from the Textiles industry attending the half day event, the workshop was a testament to the willingness of the industry to understand and transition to more sustainable production processes. CSM & Fairtrade India also launched the Sustainability Clinic a hotline (+91- 963 000 8200) for Textiles Sector MSMEs to clarify any doubts or queries they might have related to implementing sustainability practices in their factory. We are grateful for the support from all our partners and the active participation from the Textiles industry in Tiruppur in making this workshop a meaningful step towards building more sustainable textiles value chains.
