Our team, represented by Dr. Kunvar Harsh Upveja and Dr. Sarika S Deodhar, presented two impactful posters on real-world data generation for biosimilar Bevacizumab. These studies, conducted across 20 sites in India, highlight the safety and efficacy of Bevacizumab in treating advanced ovarian cancer and various solid tumors. Key discussions led by global oncology experts focused on adverse events, dosage variations, and serious adverse events, reinforcing the importance of biosimilars in expanding access to oncology care. This event gave us the perfect platform to showcase our commitment to delivering affordable, high-quality oncology treatments and bridging gaps in cancer care across regions. More than 100 of our suppliers came together at Symposia '24, Biocon Biologics annual suppliers’ summit, to strengthen our relationship and reaffirm our collaborative mission. Organized by the Global Procurement Team, Symposia '24 was attended by senior leaders of the Company, who shared their experience, expectations and future aspirations vis-à-vis our key stakeholders. Our suppliers narrated their success stories and voiced their appreciation for our valued partnership.The summit had knowledge sharing & capacity building sessions on digital transformation and panel discussions on a range of topics, including ‘Resilience in Supply Chains due to Global Geopolitical Issues', 'Circular Economy and Bio-Pharma Supply Chains', and a Fireside Chat on ESG. Our Chief Operating Officer Rhonda Duffy, Chief Financial Officer Kedar Upadhye, Chief Development Officer Anuj Goel, Global Head of IT & Digital Transformation Mandar Ghatnekar & Head of Manufacturing Vijay Sudalaimuthu also graced the event and addressed the suppliers.

The European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has issued a positive opinion recommending approval for Biocon Biologics' biosimilar Ustekinumab. This follows the USFDA approval earlier this month. Biosimilar Ustekinumab is intended to treat adults and children with plaque psoriasis, and adults with psoriatic arthritis or Crohn’s disease. Clinical studies have confirmed its comparable pharmacokinetic, safety, efficacy, and immunogenicity profile to the originator product.
