Last week, we celebrated a meaningful milestone—the first anniversary of our Jerusalem office—with an unforgettable evening of gratitude, appreciation, and joy. In these challenging times, with some of our colleagues still serving in the reserves, it was important for us to create an event that honored resilience and humanity. This celebration was a tribute to our incredible team's strength, contribution, and spirit. Highlights from the evening: 🩷 A heartfelt performance by the incredible Ishay Ribo, whose music moved us all. 🩷Special words of appreciation from our leadership team. 🩷Thoughtful winter gifts from the Golan Heights, supporting a region close to our hearts. This night was a beautiful reminder of the light and warmth our teams bring, even during the toughest moments. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration so meaningful. Together, We Do Well Because We Do Good. 💙

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting the second event by Jerusalem’s Startup Grind chapter at our office. Huge thanks to Anna Shtern Mellul, PhD, and Irina Hanunov-Lev for their incredible leadership, bringing together entrepreneurs, early-stage startups, and the thriving #Jerusalem tech ecosystem. We were joined by Ben Wiener, Managing Partner at Jumpspeed Ventures, who shared wisdom from his entrepreneurial journey. Here are five standout lessons he left us with: Lesson 1 – Reading is a superpower. It enables us to stay informed, sharp, and constantly learning. When we prioritize reading, we prioritize growth—just ask Ben how many books he’s read this month! Lesson 2 – The best way to succeed is to fail. Failure humbles us and fosters empathy. When we experience setbacks, we understand others’ challenges more deeply and are better equipped to support them. Lesson 3 – Seek the partner’s model: the hustler, hacker, and hipster. The hustler (CEO) leads the vision and narrative, the hacker builds the tech, and the hipster drives sales and marketing. Whether represented by one or three individuals, each role is essential. Lesson 4 – Credibility and ability matter. Sometimes, these qualities mean more than experience alone. Lesson 5 – The core of a perfect pitch is HEART. For more on what that means, ask Ben 😊 Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this night inspiring and insightful! Ready, set, go❕ In a race, this phrase signals the start. At Cross River, it marks the beginning of a motivated, purpose-driven journey. Our "Ready & Set" orientation program is the first step for new employees to immerse themselves in our mission, our departments, and the impact we’re here to make. This isn’t just about listening; it’s about action. Through hands-on experiences—like creating a 3D organizational chart and connecting with new colleagues—our Brandon Hall Group-awarded program brings our values and culture to life. Here’s what our team is saying about the program: 🌟“The attitude and approach boost motivation and commitment to the company.” 🌟“I was surprised that IT is so all-encompassing.” 🌟“It’s not just the business, but the people.” 🌟“I’m impressed by the prestige of our partner mix, which essentially touches every dollar that moves on the planet. That’s significant!” Want to be part of something extraordinary❓ Join us at Cross River: https://lnkd.in/d2JT-kiB Yoni Colb Debbie Oziel Seraya Ilan Birnboim Shira Beit-Halachmi Cohen Anna Michel #CrossRiverCareers #CompanyCulture #ReadySetGo #IAmCR #OnBoarding #Learning

Did you know that one in every 7 or 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer ⁉ The numbers are startling, and breast cancer isn’t exclusive to women — 0.25% of patients in Israel are men. This affects so many of us, directly or indirectly. What can we do❓ Start by having conversations with our physicians about screening options—from physical exams and BRCA gene mapping to ultrasounds and mammograms. More than anything, we can become aware and work to increase awareness around us. This October, as the world observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we at Cross River are taking a moment to prioritize health and wellness, support those in the fight, and spread the message of awareness. Every step counts. One in nine https://lnkd.in/dkEFe65u #BreastCancerAwareness #October #CrossRiverCares Yoni Debbie Seraya Sammy

There was much discussion surrounding the “proper” way to commemorate the week of Oct. 7th in the office. What content will speak to the diverse mix of employees? What is the right balance? Are three events too much? Too little? How can we create space for such an emotionally charged and personal experience in a workplace? The week started off by transforming the CRT lounge into a space of quiet reflection. In addition to screening testimonials, we displayed the special materials sent to us by Sofya (https://sofya.co.il/) – branded memorial candles for lighting, the biography and picture of one fallen soldier, posterboards encouraging people to write down their thoughts, feelings and hopes. On Oct. 8th, we gathered to watch “Social Workers at War,” (https://lnkd.in/dkrdexSz) a powerful documentary featuring just a few of the superhero social workers who sprang into action immediately following the blaring of the first sirens one year ago. These brave women were filmed over months, sharing the critical work they are doing, the unimaginable situations they continue to encounter, the surprising range of needs that no one could have predicted- two of them working from hotel rooms as they themselves have been evacuated from their homes. We were privileged to welcome director ציפי קרליק filmmaker Tsipi karlik, who lead a Q&A session after the screening, explaining the “whys”, “hows” and some behind-the-scenes tidbits. There are so many questions, but sadly no easy answers for the thousands of social workers who continue to hold up whole communities, piecing them together, one person at a time. On Oct. 9th we were joined by Varda and Eitan Morell, parents of Staff Sgt. Maoz Morell z”l, and nephew of one of our CRT colleagues Russel Kelner. The Morells shared the story of their son’s bravery and sacrifice during his service in Gaza, but also impressed on us how Maoz chose to live life and his determination to overcome every hurdle presented him in his short 22 years. The family’s resilience and mission to create a lasting legacy for Maoz inspires us to be partners in carrying on his memory. On Oct. 10th we invited The Spirit Had Prevailed (https://jvr360.co.il/en/) who has created a virtual reality tour of three of the most-affected kibbutzim in the “Otef” (Gaza envelope) in their post- Oct. 7th reality. This technology enabled us to feel like we were there, visiting the burnt homes and hearing about some of the atrocities that took place there from surviving family members. The creators were careful not to include images that are too graphic, but it is heart-wrenching nonetheless. We pray for the hostages to return home. We pray for the displaced to return home. And we pray for days of peace and rebuilding. Not all sessions were attended by everyone, but each one opened our hearts, allowed us to bear witness, learn, ask, reflect, connect, commemorate and honor the courage and strength of our people.
