Yesterday, June 17, 2024: The Israeli Center for Quantum Computing - @IQCC - was launched Significant progress in the field of quantum computing in Israel: The Israeli Center for Quantum Computing (IQCC), a research facility that aligns with similar centers in the world, opened yesterday (Monday) with the aim of making quantum computing capabilities accessible to researchers and research and development centers in the country. The center will include three quantum computers and was established and managed by the Israeli company Quantum Machines, which provides control and control systems for quantum computers. This is a world-class research facility that will include three quantum computers and serve the quantum computing community as well as academic research institutes and R&D centers of advanced industries in Israel and around the world. The center was built with a total investment of 100 million Nis. The QM - Quantum Machines company clarified that this is a special center that will provide access to the cloud, in order to provide users with remote access to the computing environment. In addition, the center will offer an advanced testbed equipped of its kind in the world, which will assist in the development of new quantum computing technologies. The company states that the highlight of the innovative facility is the deployment of a unified system for classical quantum computing, which was developed by Quantum Machines and NVIDIA . The system is tightly integrated with a supercomputing cluster consisting of NVIDIA GPU processors, and ARM and AMD processors, all connected to AWS cloud platforms allowing remote access and leveraging additional cloud computing resources. Dr. Itamar Sion, co-founder and CEO of QM: "When we thought about what would move quantum computing forward, we realized that the means was to build the most advanced facility in terms of operational capability, modularity and integration with HPC and with the cloud. Our open architecture approach will ensure that it will be possible to upgrade and expand the The facility continuously to stay at the forefront of technology, which will make it an accelerator of the entire ecosystem in Israel and the world." The global quantum computing market estimate for 2022 was $13.67 billion and is expected to reach a value of $143.44 billion with a compound annual growth rate of 26.5% in 2032. Apart from China, Israel is the country that invests, on average, the largest percentage of the gross domestic product - GDP ( 0.082%) in quantum computing issues.

Israeli Solution That Ensures Security of AI Copilot Raises $38 Million ZENITY, an Israeli startup which specializes in AI-based cybersecurity, raised $38 million in a Series B funding round led by Daniel Loeb's Third Point Ventures and DTCP. In total, Zenity raised $55 million. The new funding will accelerate development of the Zenity' product, and support Zenity’s expansion in North America. Zenity’s product protects AI copilots from cyber threats, as with the increased use of AI copilot by business users, attackers can exploit these applications by injecting malicious commands, poisoning data, and embedding hidden instructions into AI systems. The product is potentially interesting for financial organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare systems. Ben Kliger, CEO, and Michael Bargury, CTO, founded Zenity in 2021. Israeli tech is at a crossroads On the one hand, we see a surge in tech, particularly with AI. On the other hand, we're dealing with a decrease in economic activity and a potential shift in the job market While it's true that the current situation in the country has led to a decrease in economic activity, we must also consider the impact of AI on the job market. Companies may be using the current economic climate as a cover to transition to AI-driven operations, a move that isn't typically popular… The rapid development of AI, such as OpenAI's GPT-3, suggests that we may see a big shift in the job market sooner than anticipated. While this is great for efficiency, it also raises concerns about job security, and the future of jobs Furthermore, the job market, especially in the tech sector, is becoming increasingly competitive There are fewer jobs than there are people looking for work. This issue is particularly pronounced in the Haredi community, where job opportunities are even scarcer. The community faces additional challenges, including bias and a lack of experience. Most training programs today don't offer job experience or placement, leaving individuals to navigate the job market on their own Given these circumstances, #entrepreneurship emerges as a viable path… knowing how to run a business and possessing skills that can't be easily replicated by AI can be a real advantage Along with those challenges, another major question is… is Israel a conducive environment for setting up a business?   The Israeli government's stance towards businesses, particularly #startups, plays a big role in shaping the country's economic landscape. Nvidia Israel - Employees Risk Management NVIDIA To all my Nvidia friends, colleagues, and clients. You have worked very hard to contribute to this success. With that kind of wealth comes great responsibility and worry. Suggestions I recommend to take into consideration when managing that kind of wealth: 1. Don't search for returns, manage the risk (if you have the know-how). 2. US estate tax. understand that Nvidia is a US company, that might expose you to a US estate tax on all of your Nvidia stock holdings (might reach up to 40% + other). Make sure you correspond with a tax expert on this matter. 3. Align interest with your financial advisor on your chosen payment model: - The commission-only model keeps a strong conflict of interest. A fee-based approach only mitigates most conflicts of interest. 3. Make sure you are accompanied by one financial advisor only who can see all of the assets you hold(full picture) and advise accordingly, any other way will cause you to decide far from the optimal way. 4. Nvidia Announces Acquisition of the Israeli AI Startup for $700 million Run:ai, an Israeli AI infrastructure orchestration and management platform, is going to be acquired by NVIDIA. The sum is not disclosed but is estimated at around $700 million. Run:ai has developed an orchestration and virtualization software layer tailored to the unique needs of AI workloads running on GPUs and similar chipsets. Run:ai and NVIDIA have collaborated since 2020. Earlier, the startup raised $75 million in a Series C round led by Tiger Global Management and Insight Partners, who also led the previous Series B round. “Expanding the AI area”… Nvidia acquires two Israeli software companies NVIDIA expands its artificial intelligence market by acquiring two Israeli software companies. The first company, Run:AI, provides workload management and orchestration software for optimizing computing infrastructure in cloud environments. The second company, Desi, offers a deep learning acceleration platform for building and deploying AI models. The size of the Run:AI acquisition is estimated to be around $700 million. NVIDIA aims to reduce time and cost in developing AI models through these acquisitions. The company has been investing in startups and is expected to accelerate both investments and acquisitions in the future. Google is getting close to a record $23 billion deal to acquire Israeli cybersecurity company Wiz. According to the story, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is reportedly in "advanced talks" to acquire Wiz, a company based in #NewYork. This would be the largest #acquisition of an Israeli tech company and double Alphabet's largest acquisition to yet, which was the $12.5 billion purchase of Motorola in 2012. The publication pointed out that the possible transaction would occur at a time when startups have been leery of mergers and acquisitions because of fears of antitrust monitoring, and that Google is looking to strengthen its cloud computing company, for which Wiz supplies cybersecurity. Assaf Rappaport, Yinon C., Ami Luttwak, and Roy R.-launched Wiz in early 2020. This same team founded Adallom, which Microsoft acquired in 2015 for $320 million. They oversaw the Cloud Security Group for Microsoft Azure as well. Forty percent of the Fortune 100 firms, including Slack, Mars, BMW, DocuSign, Plaid, and Agoda, are among its clientele. Hate" seminar during Tel Aviv University's AI Week TLV and Cyber Week TLV. This important event addressed the alarming rise of online antisemitism and showcased how innovative technology can combat this age-old hatred. Antisemitism experts, such as Avi Mayer (אבי מאיר), Carole Nuriel, and Michal Cotler-Wunsh, Adv., emphasized the serious real-world consequences of online hate speech, noting that "words turn into deeds." They highlighted the importance of proactive policies and technological solutions to prevent the spread of hate. Innovators like Tal-Or Cohen Montemayor from CyberWell and Stav Cohen Lasri from Savee.AI demonstrated how AI can identify and counteract antisemitic content. Maya S. from EverC explained methods to disrupt the financial networks supporting hate groups, which are often also related to terrorism. I presented the power of #GenAI to fight antisemitism in detection, content, and education, creating empathy and compassion.
