This measure, part of the broader "National Infrastructure Bill" enacted a year ago to close Israel's major infrastructure gap, is HUGE. It aims to overcome the "Utility Coordination" challenge, notoriously the weakest link in every project life cycle — key to delivering Israel's mega-projects on time over the next decade and essential for sustaining rapid economic growth. Why is this so crucial? - Israel's productivity gap (GDP per hour worked) is the biggest challenge to realizing its economic growth potential. - Alongside the demographic challenge, aggressively addressing the "Infrastructure Gap" is a top priority. - Approximately 25% of the productivity gap is attributed to infrastructure deficiencies in transportation, particularly mass transit. - Over the next 10-15 years, Israel will invest more than NIS 0.5 trillion in capital projects for Transportation and Energy (1.5-2% increase in investment of GDP annually). After I experienced a major failure with a company I founded, I realized that startups must be designed to be profitable from day one. The sense of freedom you have when you don’t need to run around fundraising or cater to others’ opinions is incredibly empowering—it allows you to build your company exactly as you envision.  It’s possible to create a highly successful company with very little money. Being a Unit 8200 graduate is not sufficient preparation for building a company the right way—nobody teaches marketing or customer retention. Giving someone a lot of money without the right preparation naturally sets them up for failure." A week ago today I took the stage at Content Israel as a key speaker. I transparently shared in a room with over 300 fellow marketers that the first thing my CEO always asks me when we brainstorm a new campaign or program is, “Jen, what’s your content distribution plan?” 7 days and 3 hours to the dot, Daniel Kushner 🐙 asked me to provide my content distribution plan for one of our latest customer programs ( side note: super excited to launch, it's still top secret, so do stay tuned) And you know what was front and center as part of that distribution plan? #EmployeeAdvocacy. Why? Because when you understand how to use employee networks to distribute your content you crack the code in making sure your content is seen by the right people, from the right people in your organization. You create meaningful and personalized customer journeys. You stay true to what social media was intended for-- being social, and build a people-to-people connection. You use the authentic voices of your employees to share the content you’ve worked so hard to create ensuring that your content sees the light of day, you get the credit you deserve, and you can measure the actual engagement and reach of that content far beyond your corporate profile. And most importantly, you build meaningful relationships and can understand what content was used to help build them... So my question to you is, do you include #EmployeeAdvocacy as part of your distribution plan? Sharing my slide on my thought process on how to use advocacy to build meaningful customer journeys if some may find it helpful.

How good intentions can turn bad: my experience with Wolt Georgia's subscription promo In October, I learned from a friend that Wolt Georgia was offering the annual Wolt+ subscription for 29.90 GEL. This was a generous offer, considering the subscription is usually priced at 8.99 GEL monthly or 69.90 GEL annually. Some of my friends and I took advantage of this offer. If a user already had an active monthly subscription, their plan was immediately changed to annual, but the charging was scheduled for a future date. The Billing page displayed the message "You will be charged 29.90 GEL on [dd/MM/yyyy]". The switch to the new plan was set to occur at the end of the current subscription period, which made sense since the existing subscription was already paid for and should be fully utilized. However, I was surprised when I accidentally opened the Billing page a few weeks later and saw a new message: "You will be charged 69.90 GEL on [dd/MM/yyyy]." If I hadn't noticed this change, I might have been charged the full annual amount without realizing it. After several discussions with support representatives, I learned that the promotion was a limited-time offer. Users who were charged before the promotion ended received the new subscription plan at the promotional price. Users like me, who were scheduled to be charged after the promotion concluded, did not receive the discounted rate. In effect, I went from a 9 GEL monthly subscription to being expected to pay 69.90 GEL for an annual subscription. The most frustrating part was that the support team did not seem to acknowledge the issue. Throughout our interaction, multiple support representatives, nine in total, entered and left the conversation, without providing a solution. It appeared they didn't know how to respond to my concerns, and a few times they even closed the discussion while I was still typing a reply, which added to my irritation. Ultimately, I was disappointed enough to cancel my subscription and delete the app. This experience highlights how miscommunication between different teams (marketing, engineering, product, and support) can lead to customer dissatisfaction. In competitive markets, such oversights can be costly in the long term. Nevertheless, I believe Wolt provides a great service and improves the local economy, and I hope the team can overcome such challenges. Have any of you experienced something similar? What is common between the Olympic Games and Product Management? Watching the incredible achievements of the Israeli team at the Olympic Games inspired me and got me thinking about the similarities between the journeys of athletes and product teams. Here are a few:  **Vision and goal setting: clear, ambitious goals and strategic planning drive both athletes and product teams forward.  **Continuous improvement: just as athletes undergo rigorous training, product teams continually refine their products based on feedback.  **Teamwork: success in both fields relies on collaboration—athletes with their coaches and teammates, and product managers with cross-functional teams. **Adaptability: both must adjust to uncertainty, whether it's on the field or in the market. **Resilience: overcoming challenges and striving for long-term success. Definitely one of the best teams I’ve met and worked with in the local tech scene. Run:ai ✨ But a few more reasons why this acquisition is awesome. 1. Nvidia appreciates us & keeps on doubling-down on the Israeli startup ecosystem. After the huge success with Mellanox the Giant is here to stay. That’s great. Again - I’d say that a big part of it belongs to Eyal Waldman. 2. Israel will get stronger, or at least keep on track within the race to AI. 3. Timing: especially now. When Israel is threatened and facing different attacks, and some big challenges. While many of us are not at our best (to say the least) and fight for our future - Nvidia knows what great innovation we have here, how great the teams are - and closing such a deal. 4. Just like many other great things we’ve seen recently, also this innovation starts with science. Education is important! 5. A small reason to smile and feel proud of our tech industry. Happy news. Steve Jobs' Legacy vs. Apple Today: Would He Agree? As Apple faces allegations of sending employee donations to organizations with ties to the Israeli army and illegal settlements, one must ask: Would Steve Jobs, the visionary who revolutionized technology, stand by Apple's current actions? A recent report revealed that Apple fully covers wages for employees who go to serve in the Israeli military, directly supporting the atrocities taking place in Gaza. These donations reportedly fund military activities and illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, despite Apple's stated commitment to human rights. With accusations of human rights violations, including torture and extrajudicial killings against Palestinians, Apple’s actions stand in stark contrast to the values Jobs championed. Would Jobs have allowed his company to perpetuate such horrors, or would he have used his platform for justice and compassion?
