  • How you can simplify complex data tools without sacrificing advanced functionality. If your data tool isn't user-friendly, you're losing your audience. The biggest challenge? Designing something that meets their advanced needs and feels intuitive at the same time. Many products aimed at data professionals struggle with: ↳ Poor visualization. ↳ Cluttered interfaces. ↳ Ineffective filtering options. This can frustrate users, and lead to drop-offs. When these tools fall short: → Workflows become chaotic. → Insights get buried in overwhelming data. → Users end up wasting time trying to extract the value they need. Creating tools for technical data experts is no walk in the park. That’s where a clear, strategic design comes into play. When I worked on Datricks, we tackled this head-on: ✓ Top-to-bottom data map. ✓ Table snippets next to the map. ✓ Integrated multi-select filtering. ✓ Visualization to simplify complex processes. ✓ Offering a dual view of the data for deeper insights. This approach enhanced the user experience and made data-driven tasks more manageable. Ultimately, a well-thought-out design is essential for keeping advanced users engaged and productive. If your product is clunky and confusing, it's time to rethink your design strategy. → Prioritize usability. → Simplify workflows. → Make insights accessible. Need to simplify a complex design? • How I create design systems for startups with no resources. Building a design system on the go is my secret weapon. Small startups often lack the time and resources to create full-blown design systems. I get it—it’s tough to build infrastructure when the product needs to ship yesterday. That’s why I developed a method to create one as I design. Here’s how it works: 1. Start with designing pages. I skip the over-planning phase and focus on delivering working designs. This keeps things lean and fast. 2. Identify reusable patterns. While designing, I pinpoint the main variables and components: colors, text sizes, buttons, input fields, layouts, etc. 3. Build design tokens. I document variables like color codes, fonts, and spacing in a separate file. This becomes my living style guide. 4. Name and structure components. I create tokens and components for key elements like colors, fonts, buttons, and input fields. 5. Refine as I go. Each new page builds on this foundation. The system isn’t perfect or polished—it’s functional and evolves alongside the project. The result? → No wasted time upfront. → No massive “design debt” later. Just a lean, evolving system that delivers results fast. Why it’s good for me: → Naming colors doubles my design speed. → Naming text sizes triples it. → Building reusable components quadruples it. This process works because it balances structure and flexibility. I’m not chasing perfection—just speed and efficiency, which is exactly what small teams need most. Think your team could use a fast, flexible design system like this? Let’s chat—I’d love to help you streamline your process.

  • How a redesign increased the number of active users by 13x. Want to onboard more users without hiring a bigger team within 1 month? This redesign of a stock trading co-pilot app for Better Trader helped the app gain traction and spread rapidly. I was involved in the full cycle from ideation to execution. Startup results: – Signed deals with B2B distributors. – Significant increase in new user activation. – Polished, presentation-ready design. – Comprehensive style guides for developers. What I did: – Product Ideation. – Product Research. – Product Design. I created intuitive interfaces, focusing on both functionality and aesthetics. Both were important as the startup was pursuing sophisticated financial traders as clients. This project showed me how important the details are and how design can increase a startup's results tenfold. Every pixel counts. Every detail drives impact. Designing for traction involves more than aesthetics—it's about strategy, intuition, and precision. Ready to elevate your product? Let’s create something game-changing together. • So, you’ve just launched a free trial, but you’re still stuck with low conversions? Growing a SaaS product is hard. – Clients won’t stay on your site. – Don’t want to learn about your product. – Are unwilling to pay after the free trial is over. – A 90% drop-off occurs when you request their credit card details. The result? You get just 1% of actual paying customers. You have tried everything: ×– SEO. ×– ASO. ×– Paid ads. ×– Referrals. ×– Cold sales. The results are poor. What if I told you there is another path to success? I’ve developed a system that can significantly increase your revenue / MRR. +25% boost in sign-ups. +13% increase in onboarding finishing. +33% improvement in landing page conversions. These aren’t hypotheticals; they’re actual results from clients I’ve worked with. I’ve successfully improved key KPIs for numerous SaaS companies through my design work. • How you can transform you complex app with some smart tweaks. Bad design doesn’t just look messy—it kills your app’s potential. When an app is cluttered and poorly designed, users struggle: → Unable to get insights. → Can't find what they need. → They get lost in confusing navigation. → Cognitive overload leads to frustration. → Worst of all, they give up and switch to a competitor. Sound familiar? If any of this describes your app, you’re losing users, trust, and growth opportunities every day. Now, here’s the good news: you can turn it around. And no, you don't need a full-blown six-month redesign project. Smart tweaks can boost user success dramatically. For example, a redesign concept for Startup Nation Central Finder app tackled complex tasks like: ▪︎ Gaining fast insights. ▪︎ Viewing rich data tables. ▪︎ Saving filters for future use. ▪︎ Using advanced search with multiple parameters. How to achieve these results: ✓ Reorder menu items: Place the most-used options at the top of the navigation menu. ✓ Simplify button text: Replace jargon with clear, action-oriented language like "Save" instead of "Commit Configuration." ✓ Add tooltips: Provide short, helpful explanations for complex features without cluttering the UI. ✓ Align elements: Ensure buttons, text, and input fields are visually aligned to create order and clarity. ✓ Remove unnecessary labels: If icons are self-explanatory (like a trash can for delete), remove redundant text. ✓ Tweak color contrast: Adjust colors to ensure text and buttons stand out clearly for better readability. ✓ Use color to mute less important information: Use lighter greys for rarely used items like "more info" icons. ✓ Adjust padding and spacing: Use a repeating measure (for example, 16 pixels) for as many paddings and margins as the design allows. This creates visual order. ✓ Group related items: Organize buttons, fields, or links that serve similar functions into clusters to reduce visual and cognitive effort. ✓ Standardize font sizes: Ensure headers, subheaders, and body text follow consistent sizing ✓ Use progressive disclosure: Hide advanced or rarely used options under a dropdown or expandable section, showing only the essentials by default. Small changes—like repositioning buttons, tweaking colors, or simplifying text—can lead to higher user engagement, retention, and growth. Your app needs to work for your users. Here’s what a successful complex app redesign looks like: ★ Noise and clutter disappear. ★ Users reach their goals faster. ★ More data is visible without overwhelming them. ★ Cognitive load is reduced—everything feels simpler. ★ Every area supports an action and links clearly with others.
