After the surgery, the boy recovered quickly and was released - straight to his brother's Bar Mitzvah celebration". Today, on #AliyahDay in Israel, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate our Director of IP, Adriana Folberg-Blum, who has been honored by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration for her impactful contributions to Israel’s wellbeing during the war! Adriana was recognized by President Itzhak Herzog and peers, alongside four other exceptional individuals from diverse fields, including science, medicine, technology, agriculture and essential services. Just a week after October 7, Adriana and a few colleagues traveled south to assist farmers struggling to harvest during one of the most challenging periods, as much of their workforce had departed. Adriana’s initiative quickly grew—soon, nearly 1,500 volunteers joined her cause, in the group called “Thursday’s harvesters' bus”. She organized free buses to transport dozens of volunteers each Thursday, supporting over 20 different farms in the South of Israel - an effort that has continued for more than a year and remains active today. We couldn’t be prouder of Adriana and salute all the amazing volunteers who have joined her, giving their time and heart to support Israel’s agricultural community. Although Adriana made her Aliyah two decades ago, this recognition as an "Ola" is a testament to her enduring dedication to and belief in the “project” of Israel! Thank you, Adriana, and to everyone who stands with you! Introducing Dr. Nir Pillar, senior pathologist at Hadassah Medical Center, specializing in AI applications in pathology. With an MD from Ben-Gurion University and a PhD from Tel Aviv University, Dr. Pillar joined UCLA's Faculty of Engineering to focus on virtual histological staining using generative AI.
