How can a beginner influencer or blogger build an audience? Platforms like Telegram, Instagram, Meta (Facebook), and X (Twitter) are far from ideal for growing an audience. They pale in comparison to #Reddit in terms of audience and, most important, content visibility algorithms. Unlike other platforms, Reddit is a discussion club first and foremost, not a personal content feed. To grow your own audience on Reddit, the author needs to either have their own subreddit or be active in existing ones, having a direct connection with the moderation of this subreddit. Building your own subreddit takes time and/or money, especially if you’re starting with a clear goal and team. Reddit thrives on organic content, and successful subreddits prioritize organic posts over self-promotion. To post/ gain an audience in relevant communities without contacting moderation is likely to result in a block. Any hint of self-promotion or monetization - the chance of a block is 100%. By regularly posting valuable content in a large subreddit, the author gains his own audience. A smart creator can "pour" the audience to personal channels on other social platforms. Once you've gained an audience and built a reputation through posting in other subreddits, launching your own becomes much easier and faster. If your focus is on finance/investing, aim for subreddits in the thematic Top 100. r/wallstreetbets, number 1 subreddit for “Stocks & Investing,” but its moderation team is unlikely to engage directly, while r/XGramatikInsight (also in the Top 100 "Stock & Investing") will at least see your request. Q1: Where can I find the Top 100 thematic subreddits? On the mobile app, tap Top 100 to see the first 25 thematic subreddits. Individual subreddits also indicate whether they rank in the Top 100 of their theme. Q2: What post format performs best on Reddit? Original, discussion-driven content with credible information (preferably with sources). Avoid simple copywriting; instead, provide well-supported personal opinions that add value to the conversation. Q3: r/XGramatikInsight is given as an example, I don't see a connection with moderation. Use the subreddit’s moderator contact link: https://lnkd.in/deECNdFg. On any subreddit, you will ALWAYS find a connection with moderation and individual moderators, on the right-hand sidebar next to the rules. Don't forget to read the subreddit rules before posting or reaching out.

Marketers, PR specialists, brand managers, and creators - today, I have a real gem for you. The team from the Swedish ad agency, The Wrong Agency, has put together a great checklist to help assess the viability of your upcoming campaign. Here are the bullet points from the original document (the full version is available in the attached PDF for those interested): 1. How many rounds of revisions were needed? If your creative concept requires endless tweaks, the idea was likely stronger before all the changes. Each round of revisions dilutes its uniqueness. Sometimes, the first version is the best one. 2. Is the campaign about you or the audience? If the campaign’s message focuses more on the brand than on the needs or desires of the audience, it’s being made “for yourselves.” Campaigns work when they focus on what matters to people, not on corporate reports. 3. Has leadership approved the campaign? If all top management is unanimously on board with the campaign, that might be a red flag. “Comfortable” ads often lose their edge and fail to spark the desired response due to their sterility. 4. How understandable is the creative concept to people? If your campaign has local “quirks” only known to you and your colleagues, that’s a bad sign. The audience may simply not understand what you’re trying to say, and ignore it. 5. Is the agency team chasing awards? If the campaign’s goal is primarily prestige and awards, rather than true value for the brand, you might be focusing efforts in the wrong direction. Good advertising should work for the audience and brand objectives, not just for the agency’s acclaim. These simple yet effective questions can help keep a clear perspective on any campaign and avoid wasting budgets.

Brand Awareness & Reputation Management Reddit is a powerhouse for brand awareness building, offering a unique blend of community engagement and organic visibility. Unlike traditional social platforms, Reddit is driven by user-generated content and community-driven conversations, making it a trusted source for authentic opinions and insights. Brands that effectively tap into Reddit's niche subreddits can gain direct access to highly targeted audiences, engaging with them in meaningful ways that build credibility and trust: https://lnkd.in/dkz4a6X6 Moreover, Reddit's influence extends beyond its platform - its threads frequently appear in Google search results, amplifying a brand’s visibility in organic search. This dual impact - deep community engagement and enhanced search engine presence - makes Reddit an invaluable tool for brands looking to establish and grow their presence online. Nearly every brand or product search now includes a [PRODUCT/BRAND NAME + REDDIT] suggestion in Google’s Autocomplete search. In short, if you are not paying attention to your niche subreddits, you don’t know your audience. #brandawareness #SEO #reddit
