This was by far one of my career highlights. But check out the story behind it. The fact that I was able to cross over my passion, career, and hobby all in one is something I’m not taking for granted. Super grateful for Barzel Media’s partnership with The IEHL This story of this goalie is incredible… turns out he is from the same county I grew up in NJ. But there’s more. Erez Yacobi has been working and training all his life to be this star goalie… he had a pathway to pursue a proper hockey career but he dropped it all and made Aliyah 2 days ago to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces But not before @theiehl was able to recruit him to play in their summer ice hockey league. Congrats on his 7-3 victory and we wish him luck!

This could not have come at a better time. Let me explain. Influencers and brands have been struggling with this question. How can they publicly be Pro-Israel, when there are potential negative ramifications? Julius Dein had a viral post about the antisemitism he faced. There was even a debate on stage at the Nas Summit as to whether or not Israeli brands should hide their identity. I’m scheduled to speak at a conference called Content Israel here in TLV, to address this as well. Casey Neistat recieved a standing ovation when he responded to the question of how does he deal with all the hate: “F**k ‘em” My firm belief is that the harder we lean into it, the more rewarding it will be for us and the more respect we will garner. Because ultimately the quote below is always going to be true. This is what we stand for at Barzel Media. What’s your take? How do you celebrate someone who is standing up for what they believe in despite all the hate? After my post about Julius Dein went viral (viral for me), I realized how important it was to celebrate those that are standing up for truth, proudly celebrating their Jewish identity, and standing up for Israel. This is the reason why I'll be posting and celebrating what we at Barzel Media are calling Iron Heroes. So meet Tal Oran, aka The Traveling Clatt, this weeks Iron Hero! Support our Iron Heroes!

I've lost MILLIONS of social followers in the last 6 months. Because I've spoken about my Jewish heritage openly and condemned actions that I think are wrong. I'm proud to be Jewish. But celebrating that publicly has been tough. I've received threats of violence  I've had racism directed at me  I've had death-threats in DMs I love social media. My entire career is built around it. But it can also bring out the worst in people. With little accountability With little vetting/fact-checking With little consequences for trolls 95% of creators have experienced hate and harassment online. Disagreement is fine. But threatening violence, making racist comments and encouraging others to engage in hate-filled actions is wrong. In 2024, there's no place for it. I'll continue to talk about my heritage. It's a part of me 🖤
