WFH vs Hybrid vs Fully Onsite – Pros & Cons. The debate continues around the advantages & disadvantages of Fully Remote Working vs Hybrid (2-3 days office) vs Fully Onsite for Irish based Tech employees. As a recruiter I constantly get asked what the policy in other Tech companies is or which way is the market leaning. Interestingly in KPMG’s 10th annual CEO Outlook survey - 90% of Irish CEOs believe there will be a return to pre-pandemic ways of working in the office within the next three years. For some employees that might be a scary prospect. We are also hearing of reports that some of the larger Tech companies based in Ireland are bringing in fully onsite working policies now. Would you reject a job offer with no remote working option? I have just come across this article on a study done in Ireland on jobseekers. Almost 50% of jobseekers would turn down an otherwise attractive job if it did not include remote working! This is compared to a global average of 29%. 20% of jobseekers would refuse an offer if the company did not have environmental or sustainability initiatives in place. A good work life balance is the top preference for Irish jobseekers! Is any of this surprising? Keen to hear other peoples thoughts. 🌍
