According to KPMG’s 2024 Global Tech Report, Irish companies are lagging behind the global average in boosting profits through tech updates, with only 72% reporting profit increases compared to 87% globally. Though fewer Irish companies struggle to keep pace with tech change (74% versus 78% globally), only 43% say they review and update value-tracking metrics to stay aligned with market changes. AI adoption remains limited in Ireland, with just 24% deploying it at scale, despite 70% noting productivity gains.

Biggest professional achievement? Making the tastiest Oreo milkshakes🧋 When I arrived in Dublin, every opportunity was in front of me, but so were the reminders of the barriers I grew up with. Looking for jobs here made me realize how many steps behind my starting line had been, and the climb was terrifying. I didn't know where to start or how to familiarize myself with the corporate world. 🖥️ Resources were scarce, and I spent most of my time making milkshakes and cleaning up after. As proud as I am of every job I've ever had, I wanted to grow in the corporate world. But my experience selling bus tickets and handling teenage customers complaining about their hamburgers didn't seem to matter in getting that first opportunity. I didn't know where to start or where to find the people who made it. ⁉️ So when I landed at Workhuman, found my place, and started my corporate life, I knew one thing: I wanted to be the help I had craved in the past. Thankfully, this company is full of people willing to listen to ideas and put all their hard work into making the world kinder. Therefore I couldn't be more proud to announce that Workhuman will be hosting its first panel in Dublin! 🙌 This panel will provide guidance to customer service reps who aspire to be team leaders. If you market your business correctly, it encourages people to check out your business, leading to more customers. 2. Direct sales. You can directly obtain sales through social media alone. E.g once you have good content, create a landing page to obtain their contact information. From there onwards, you can sell them through an email list. 3. Promotions. People know you as a brand, you can get creators to broadcast out your local business, which leads to more customers.

What is the hardest aspect of an SDR's daily routine? (my opinion) 1 The number of NO's and objections ❌ 2 Talking in a different language (in the case of non-native speakers) ❌ 3 Dealing with people who are not very welcoming to cold calls ❌ 4 Volume of tasks ✅ Honestly, I wasn't expecting that volume would be the hardest aspect. Previously, I would have said that the number of objections would be a bigger problem. But in my experience so far, the need to keep the volume high has been the most challenging aspect. To succeed and hit your quota, you have to handle volume consistently throughout the month. Being good is not enough. You have to deal with volume. Knowing how to do that is a soft skill that I don't see people talking about much on LinkedIn. Here are a few examples: - You can write the best personalized email ever, and maybe they will never open it. - You can do the most comprehensive research and have the best rapport ready, but they might never take your call. - You can prospect and find the account with the best fit for your solution, but maybe they just bought from your competitor. In the end, quality is not enough. You have to maintain quality but always follow it with volume. Keeping the volume up every day is not easy. It requires strategy to distribute the calendar well and rules to avoid distraction. Throughout the day, countless distractions appear and invite you to disrupt your volume: a)Slack/Teams window blinking; b)Prospect emails landing. c)Notifications from HR. d)A post from an acquaintance on LinkedIn. e)A message from your mom on WhatsApp. f) An AE notifying you that the meeting happened. (sometimes happened all at once) I am still learning how to deal with volume. I feel that every month I am getting better at it. How are you dealing with volume?

#3 - What have I learned as an outbound SDR? BE HONEST. Once I realised that my prospects were also just humans who appreciate honesty, I became more successful. If I had one opportunity left until I'd hit my target, I'd say that to my prospect. For example: If I didn't have any meetings left in one month, I'd contact one of my future meetings and ask to reschedule with the honest explanation of not being able to hit my target. This approach worked best with sales leaders. The worst thing that could have happened, would have been a "no" to a rescheduling. Which isn't a big deal at all. But, not once had someone said no. If they didn't have the time to reschedule the meeting, some people asked me what information I'd need for that opportunity and helped me out regardless of the time issue. We're all in the same boat. Be honest. It will go a long way. #sdr #ae #sales #learning
