📊 Interesting read from the Q2 2024 Economic Trends Overview by Cork Chamber The report found that companies’ confidence in their own business remains high at 93%. With 36% of those saying they have increased their employee numbers over Q2. It also highlighted that out of the 47% of respondents who have vacancies advertised, 42% of those are facing challenges in filling them. Skills shortages are the main barrier at 50%, next is wage demands at 21% with housing at 18%. The report definitely sheds a great insight into the current market and the challenges that Cork companies are facing.
