Ahead of Black Friday and the Late Late Toy Show, RSA Urges Adults Not to Gift E-Scooters, Scramblers or Quad Bikes to Children As part of new laws introduced in May, individuals must be at least 16 years old to legally use an e-scooter in Ireland. Quad bikes and scramblers also pose significant safety risks to children. The RSA bids a sad farewell and a heartfelt thanks to Liz O'Donnell, whose tenure as Chairperson with the RSA came to an end in recent weeks after two terms. One quarter of drivers involved in fatal collisions were driving for work: Research presented today by the RSA at the annual Driving for Work seminar. The seminar was co-hosted by the RSA, Health and Safety Authority and An Garda Síochána. This year’s theme was “Back to Basics” and its aim was to inform and educate employers about how to implement safe driving for work practices. Coca-Cola HBC’s Designated Driver Campaign is back for its 20th anniversary to reward drivers who play their part in getting their friends and family home safely this Christmas. To help get the message out this Christmas, TV Presenter and former Olympian Greg O’Shea has teamed up with Coca-Cola HBC and its brand partner, The Coca-Cola Company, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Designated Driver campaign. Over 350 venues across the island of Ireland will participate in this year’s campaign.
