We’re thrilled to announce two well-deserved promotions for Edel Donnelly and Robert Fergey, who have been promoted to Technical Sustainability Directors. One of our team members João Filipe Teixeira had a very insightful site visit meeting with Máire Treasa Griffin (O Shea) of Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium as part of the Fáilte Ireland Climate Action Advisory Programme! As part of this programme, Joao will help Dingle Oceanworld develop a tailored action plan to empower them to become more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint. We had a great time at the Cork Business Association Better Buildings Awards last Friday, held at The Kingsley Hotel! The Better Building Awards focus on the care and presentation of Cork City’s built heritage as well as the integration and enhancement of the new developments within the city. It is an event that brings together all the traders, business and building owners, both large and small, who contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of the city centre and suburbs. KSN Horizon sponsored the Climate Resilience Award which was awarded to The Old Oak. We would like to congratulate them on this award and also congratulate the other nominees; Gabriel House & Cork Chamber. We had a great night at the Irish Construction Industry Awards in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre last Thursday night. We have put together a few photos from the event below. Our Director Barry Doyle MRIAI presented two awards on the night, one of which was the Excellence in Sustainability award, sponsored by KSN Horizon. We would like to congratulate Arcadis & CoolPlanet who won the award for their Ground Zero initiative. A special mention to our very own Associate Director Edel Donnelly who was also nominated for the Women in Construction award, a testament to all her hard work throughout her professional career.
