Can you believe its already tip 17! The tip of the day is about trends. There are several different ways to utilise the different trends on social media. These can be: 🎯 music - but be careful of copyright 🎯 giffs - or other fun videos that you see on social media 🎯 Stickers for your Stories - check out seasonality for these 🎯 Topics - but avoid political or polarising unless that is what your audience is all about 🎯 hashtags - thought the jury is still out if these actually bring more eyes to your posts Trends can be a good way to get short term visibility and traction for your account. They can help you go viral but remember, folowing trends doesn’t always mean converstions or sales. Keep an eye on your analytics to see if this strategy pays off. Day 17: Focus on Trends 🌟 🎁 Tip: Jump on trending audio, hashtags, or topics to stay relevant. 📱 Engagement Idea: Create a festive TikTok or Reel using trending holiday music. #Marketingtips #adventcalendar2024

Let’s talk about ads. Many of us jump at the chance to do social media ads to increase the visibility of our posts on social media. My thoughts on this are perhaps a little controversial. Yes, ads do benefit when you want to get reach. Yes, you can get conversions and leads by using ads. But do you need them - not always. Your organic social media marketing should be working for you. Use a commenting strategy, clear value posts and engage with your audience. And then, when you do need that extra push, that is your time to spend money on ads. Make sure that you do your ads with a clear target audience in mind. Broad ads may bring you visibility but they may not convert to sales. Targetted ads will give you better reach, a broader audience, higher visibility and have a higher probability to convert. Top tip of the Day 16: Invest in Ads 💸 🎁 Tip: Use targeted social media ads to reach a broader audience. 📱 Engagement Idea: Share a sneak peek of your ad campaign with your followers. #marketingtips #adventcalendar2024 #socialmediaads

Community is the Tip of the day for Day 15! We all want to have a thriving social media account where people comment, engage and share the posts. We also want people to talk about us when we are not in the room, and of course about all the good things! Building that community takes time and effort and one good way of doing that is by getting people to tag your accounts and highlight your products or services. Testimonials from your clients are an excellent way to get positive feedback. And don’t just wait for your clients to do that for you - why not showcase your customers or suppliers and share the love! As an example, I always work with Eileen Ireland (reGDPR) when it comes to anything GDPR related so that I know all your data is safe. I highly recommend her services and am happy to connect you with her if you need any GDPR advice. Tip of the Day 15: Build Community 🧑🤝🧑 🎁 Tip: Foster a sense of belonging by spotlighting customers or sharing testimonials. 📱 Engagement Idea: Feature a loyal customer or showcase their story with your product. #marketingtips #adventcalendar2024 #smallbusinesscommunity

Seasonality is a big thing when it comes to your marketing - which is why it is tip 14. End-of-season sales are coming up soon, and people are looking for that last-minute gift or bargain. So how do you promote it? 🎁 Use Stories for Facebook and Instagram for that daily offer 🎁 Email marketing works extremely well when it comes to exclusive deals for past customers 🎁 Paid advertising can highlight campaigns like events and longer campaigns 🎁 Create an event in your socials - and invite everybody along Whatever the offer, utilise your marketing channels strategically to ensure that you get those sales! Tip of the Day 14: Seasonal Offers 🎁 🎁 Tip: Promote exclusive deals and discounts to drive holiday sales. 📱 Engagement Idea: Post a countdown to your biggest sale of the season. #Adventcalendar2024 #marketingtips #seasonaloffers #smallbusinessmarketing

Marketing Tip 13 is here and it's about personalisation. This is going to be big in 2025, especially hyper-personalisation. With AI and analytics tools being able to tell us exactly what our customers are looking at, when they are looking at it and where, why wouldn’t you want to tailor your marketing to ensure that you reach that ideal customer. Personalisation helps to build trust, loyalty and most importantly retention. Simple steps you can take are tailoring your content for them, using segmentation with your ads and email campaigns and sometimes just popping a more personalised email like a ‘happy birthday’ message. At the end of the day, our customers are people and people like to feel valued and like they are part of a community. Day 13: Personalise Your Messaging 💌 🎁 Tip: Tailor your content for different audience segments to increase relevance. 📱 Engagement Idea: Send personalised holiday wishes to your email subscribers. #marketingtips #adventcalendar #personalisation

Marketing Tip Day 11: Engage with Your Audience 💬 Did you ever comment on a post, ask a question, and then tumbleweed? All social media channels expect you to answer the comments in a timely fashion. That way, they know you care about your audience and will push your post to more people. More importantly, you build trust with your audience and they will know that you will be there to answer their questions and engage back. All social networks are driven by people connecting, engaging, sharing and finding value from your account so replying to those comments is the easiest way to build an engaged audience. 🎁 Tip: Respond promptly to comments and messages to build relationships and trust. 📱 Engagement Idea: Host a Q&A about your products or services in your Stories. Why not drop a comment below I promise I will pop over and reply to any marketing question you have below! #marketingtips #advent2024 #socialmediaengagement #smallbusinessmarketing

Marketing tip day 10: Repurpose Content ♻️ 15 days left until Christmas! Now is the time to consider repurposing content to save time. Look at your analytics. What post performed well during the year? Why not reuse that content (if it is not seasonal) over the Christmas period? If it worked before, it should work for your audience again. Another good way is to take a collection of past posts and make them into a highlight reel. Wrote a blog but it is not getting the visibility you thought. Why not take the main points and turn them into a carousel post and direct traffic from your socials back to your website? Remember to use past content by repurposing and recycling it to save time when you have a busy period. And you can always repurpose that content to other platforms. 🎁 Tip 10: Maximize your reach by repurposing content for different platforms. 📱 Engagement Idea: Turn a blog post into an infographic or carousel for Instagram. I did a bit of repurposing at the weekend - I took some of my Instagram highlights and turned them into a reel. Did you happen to spot it in my stories? Let me know below if you did! #marketingtips #advent2024 #contentrepurposing #contentcreation

It is already day 9 and the top tip is: Collaborate with Influencers! When you know your audience and your ideal customer, you can align with influencers who have the same values as you and your audience. On Instagram, you can invite Collaborators where your post is visible to both feeds, theirs and yours. But make sure you agree with your collaborators before you do, so as not to spam their accounts. This is extremely useful for giveaways, top tips, podcasts - any kind of content where 2 accounts share value with both their audiences. 🎁 Tip: Partner with influencers whose audience aligns with your target demographic. 📱 Engagement Idea: Share a co-branded giveaway or a holiday-themed unboxing video. Will you be considering influencer marketing in 2025? #marketingtips #advent2024 #collaboration #influencermarketing
