From everyone at Elavon, we hope you have a happy holiday season with fun-filled festivities, community and some time away from your desk. We are so proud that our customers, partners, and colleagues have chosen us and wish everyone the best as the year draws to a close.
About us
In a world that sees a sale as the step before ‘goodbye’, Elavon views things differently. Because behind every payment is a person. Each sale is an opportunity to connect, in all sorts of places and on the latest technology platforms. And it’s our people who help businesses take those payments – and make those connections. In Europe, more than 4,300 teammates power potential from Elavon bases in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Spain and Norway. We lead from the top down in our commitment to inclusion, with the integration of diversity, equity and inclusion into the Elavon business strategy. Three business resource groups focus on celebrating diversity, on women’s development and on employee engagement, while employee-led Support Circles offer support and inspiration to teammates. Through initiatives like our mentoring programmes, we support each other so everyone can reach their full potential. But our commitments don’t stop at our office doors: not only do we empower our customers, but we also run volunteer programmes in our local communities. We do all this by embracing challenges, thinking differently and working smarter – together. We think that’s worth celebrating. At Elavon, our power comes from our people. We’re not just processing payments; we’re forging connections. Come and connect with us. U.S. Bank Europe DAC, trading as Elavon Merchant Services, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Although the holiday season is a happy time for many, it can be difficult and stressful too. Colleagues have been coming together throughout December to recognise that while celebrating the seasonal festivities, simple joys – like Christmas Jumper Day, taking time to talk while making seasonal wreaths, or our 12 Days of Christmas self-care challenge – can give us a bit of a breather in the midst of the madness. Taking time to look after ourselves and each other is important at any time of year, but can need renewed focus at this busy season. We recognise it’s our people that make everything we do possible. And not just as individuals – we’re all in it together. Taking care of ourselves, and each other, makes the company better.

Online shopping and travel bookings are increasingly global. Your customers expect to purchase products and services from anywhere in the world, anytime – and in their home currency, to boot. Our research shows that businesses risk losing sales and growth opportunities if they don’t invest in multi-currency conversion for their ecommerce sites and booking platforms. Here’s what you need to know. https://lnkd.in/gqg7fkWT

It was a pleasure to host many of our customers from the south east of Ireland to our Arklow offices for workshops, collaboration and socialising. Welcoming local customers to meet and greet is an important part of who we are at Elavon, but also a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other, share everyone’s expertise and keep an eye on what’s coming in the world of payments. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

To try and help every child enjoy Christmas, our colleagues in Newcastle supported the Fine and Dandi toy appeal. The mental health charity give a Christmas gift to youngsters who might otherwise go without. A huge thank to all our colleagues in Newcastle who took the time to donate a gift, in particular to Richy Aldred who organised the gift giving. More than 100 presents have now been handed over to the charity to distribute across the North East of England.

“We need a partner that operates 24/7 and doesn’t let us down,” says Keli Sandeman, Payments Strategy Manager at Virgin Atlantic, about Elavon. With flights to 30 destinations across four continents, Virgin Atlantic is a massive global enterprise. So, when the airline set out to introduce a multi-acquirer strategy, it found that we went above and beyond. https://lnkd.in/gFpQ8BZA
